The one missed ref call on the out of bound that went to IU that should have been Purdue was enough.
Not sure if that’s good or bad for us. Might get an emotionally spent IU or they are going to be super fired up.
This game was great for us. This is the ultimate let down spot for IU. I don’t think this Indiana team is that good. I think they just played the game of their lives

I also came away not terribly impressed. Had some guys playing way above their level. Granted didn’t get much from TJD but I think Hunter/Moussa can control him.
Purdue- physical win over ILL, plays 3 days later and doesn’t play nearly as well. Very similar script could play out for Indiana if we come with the effort from the last 2 games.

Isaiah Thompson got eaten alive on both ends last night. He’s a real weak spot for Purdue IMO. Xavier Johnson was hounding him and he kept picking up his dribble way behind the 3 point line. And defensively he was getting stuck on screens all night and chasing the play, causing other Purdue defenders to scramble to help. And actually Eric Hunter was even worse because at least Thompson hit a few shots. They were so much better with Ivey as the primary guy. I’d like to see an Ivey, Stefanovic, Gillis, Furst, Edey lineup with Thompson coming off the bench.

Good observation. PG is a problem spot for Purdue to be sure and Stefanovic is very, very streaky on both ends of the court. Ivey is going to eat us alive because we have no one to guard him but the other spots aren’t as scary.
Purdue also shot 7-17 at the FT line.

Yeah, the FTs last night were weird. Huge part of the game and it wasn’t like it was all Edey or Williams clanking them.
Yes and no, he might not be a great 3-point shooter but he was also one of the only guys making shots in that game.

No Kofi against Maryland tonight. Maryland isn’t very good but I still see Illinois finding a way to win.
