Big Ten Basketball 2020-21 Discussion (Part 2)

Is the consensus that both leave? I could see them both coming back. Doesn’t CJ Walker have the ability to come back too?

No, not at all a consensus. Walker and Kyle Young can both come back. The whole team could run it back. This just seems to be the biggest crater in the B1G from a realistic set of departures. 92nd is worse than Nebraska was this year.

Ah I see. I would LOVE to never have to see Washington play Michigan again but I fear that won’t be the case. And Lidell is a stud man. Have to respect his game. If all come back, they might be the class of the B10 next year

Another heavy blow

I would be pretty surprised if Washington left. I’d expect to Liddell to be back for atleast one more year as well.

Really hoping Kofi is NBA bound!

Liddell entered the draft with the ability to pull out. No news on Washington yet but I would assume he’d declare at least for feedback. I don’t think either are expected to leave, the only reason I think you’d see one leave is if they think they can’t improve their stock. Liddell can probably help himself by coming back and showing himself to be more of a true stretch 4. Washington may decide it’s time to leave though, he’s not really a PG so I’m not sure what he can add to his game next year.

Young there’s no news on, but I think everyone expects Walker to go pro since IIRC he has a family he wants to provide for.

I took the Jamari Wheeler commit as confirmation that Walker was moving on. Wouldn’t make sense for Wheeler to come otherwise.

Walker seems more of a Jallow replacement to me. Great defender, very limited offensively, not really on an ball type of guy.

Bart what is this. Audige with a projected 98 ORTG???

Kyle young isn’t returning to free basketball with 5 concussions. He’d be better off playing in insert any country.

Walker has kids and already said he played his last game

Illinois fans are dreaming about kofi coming back IMO, he wanted to leave last year and Omar Payne has said he’s been told he’s likely gone.

He’s gonna wanna play a lot more minutes than Jallow did though

Yeah, what does Omar Payne even do if Kofi comes back? Re-enter the portal?

Washington and Liddell both seem like guys whose pro stock won’t get any higher than it currently is. That doesn’t mean they’ll leave, but it wouldn’t surprise me if they did.

Elbow someone

Braun was lucky to catch lightning in a bottle with Boykins, and fortunate that Cleveland State failed to offer Earl a scholarship because of his lack of height.

That ‘96 EMU team was a treat to watch, largely because of Boykins but also Brian Tolbert, Derrick Dial, and Theron Wilson.

Was Kareem Carpenter on that team?
