Osu shot 23-44 from 3 against Michigan this year. So far against Illinois this year they are 9-36.
i have watched all 5 games and the shot quality is the same
And the quality of looks have been at least as good today as yesterday.
My not at all petulant, very mature interpretation of this is that Ohio State is capable of playing this well against everyone, but only decides to do so against Michigan because they represent the forces of evil and hate me personally.
Looks like OSU going to hack a Kofi early.
Is it me or does Liddell get a really favorable whistle? Draws a lot of touch fouls at one end and doesnât get called for a lot of contact on the other (like after Hunterâs steal yesterday).
Well, Washington showed up. OSU getting Lidell so many wide open looks from 3 and he cannot hit any of them.
Looks like we spoke too soon about Washington.
So the monstars stole liddellâs talent instead. Sorry, Washington
Duane always has a chip on his shoulder because he thought he was better than the guys who got picked over him to Michigan and MSU (he was right). Donât blame him for consistently being hyper locked in against the Michigan teams.
Heâs not necessarily locked in against Sparty. He didnât play that well in EL. Just us.
I like seeing guys use the glass on a runner. Teardrops are tough shots.
Gonna be annoying that OSU gets 4 years of Washington and we only got two years out of Poole (similar archetype but way worse as a player).
Poole is way worse of a player? Seem extremely similar. Poole as a junior could easily be doing what Duane is. Iâd bet on better. But that is frustrating though since theyâre very similar
OSU used up all their luck in the last 3 days.
I know people are down on us given how the season has ended, but OSU lost 4 straight before the tourney and then needed 3 miracles in a row to get where they have gotten now. I know they still won (and might still today), but I feel like a lot of folks think everyone but UM is playing their best ball right now and its just not true.
I guess itâs possible since we never saw Poole getting the chance to take that next step (and he clearly wasnât ready for it as a sophomore).
Well he and Dave didnât enjoy playing together from what I heard and then when Dave didnât play in July that is when Duane blew up and started racking up offers. So he probably does feel especially slighted against Michigan.
I think if sophomore Duane Washington was on the 2019 Michigan roster alongside Simpson, Iggy, Matthews, Teske his performance would be worse than Pooleâs by a decent amount.
I guess this is the thing I dont get. If Washington had a chip on his shoulder because he wanted to come to UM but we had Dave who he didnt want to play with, then why would he want to come here?
Or is he just mad he didnt get prioritized before Dave? Thats on him and his play I guess.
The latter part. I mean he always played at a high level imo. I was a bit surprised neither MSU nor Michigan really recruited him hard. He came from a good family with strong hoops pedigree and was a good kid with a high work ethic. Part of it was because the 2018 class in Michigan was especially deep. Tre Williams also got left behind during that class over Bingham, Johns, Gabe Brown, Kithier, Dave and Loyer. There were quite a few others that were pretty good going into college and quite a few from that grade are doing well wherever they are at.
Thatâs one thing, but his beef isnât with Juwan then, but with JB.
