Seth Greenberg just said that Geo Baker and Ron Harper are as good of a backcourt as any in the country. Not only is that statement absurd on its own, Ron Harper plays almost entirely as a 4 for Rutgers.
Duke has a 10-point win over Coppin State, a 22-point win over former D2 team Bellarmine, a 6-point loss to MSU, and are currently losing by 14 to Illinois.
But yeah, they’re the #10 team in the country.
31%, 35% and 38% the other 3 games. So good, but not this. VT is also an interesting team because they’re similar to PSU in that they have no one above 6’9, and mostly play a perimeter based, guard centric style of offense.
They lost at home in OT to a .500 Seton Hall team (a game they should have won) and beat VCU in a close one at home. They will definitely have played a better schedule than Michigan come Sunday and will be more of a known quantity. Michigan will be favored but seeing how Michigan defends the perimeter tomorrow against Toledo could be indicative of the PSU game as well.
PSU crushing VaTech. B1G bouncing back with a strong opening night.
Dammit, Purdue!
I actually kinda of like Cuse to be sneaky good this year. I think they might win this.
Ron Harper Jr. is carrying Rutgers, he’s so good. I know Geo Baker isn’t what the media make him to be but Rutgers has no shot creation outside of Harper without him.
Yeah just looked at stats. Crazy performance by them. Musta watched the game footage and got pissed!
I’ve been looking for Mcconnell, must have missed he took the medical red shirt, that burns for them.
Floor slap to an and 1 hahah
Okay these charges are just over the top. Come on refs.
Even Bilas calling it out.
I hope none of these refs are doing B1G games.
I believe TV Ted himself is calling this one.
According to the announcers, Penn State’s victory tonight was “…the largest victory over a ranked team in program history.”
I know it’s only Virginia Tech. But still, not a bad BIG-ACC win for that program. All of sudden, kind of a scary game to open the BIG season with.
Who is their interim coach? I agree, their play to open the season has been so bizarrely strong
FWIW, Torvik absolutely hates Virginia Tech. They are 15th in the AP Poll but 70th in his metric.
I was just looking that up as well.
Well that’s at least 1 that won’t. Good start.
Miller may have hurt his arm for Illinois. They’re up 10 going into the under 4, a win would put the B1G at 6-1 after day 1
