I’ll say 12-8
Looks like 10-10 or 11-9, right? The Purdue game is tough to call.
I’m thinking 12-8 at a quick glance and KenPom agrees.
EDIT: Wait, no. I think 11-9 and after today’s result is added their EM will likely drop their cumulative win probability enough to change one of their Illinois/Iowa home games a loss.
DOUBLE EDIT: Still a 12-8 conference projection.
15-5 obviously
They won’t lose EVERY game that they’ll be an underdog. 3 of their toughest games are at home. They’ll win 1 or 2 of those
I think an optimistic view would say they split Iowa/Michigan and take care of Northwestern/Nebraska. Think they lose two of three minimum @ Purdue, vs Illinois, @ Iowa to end it. I’ll go 11-9.
Sweep Iowa, beat Nebraska, rest are toss ups?
UMhoops sabbatical for me if that happens lol
I’d love to assume we’ll beat Wisconsin but coming off the long layoff they game could easily go poorly for us
U of I and UM seem obviously better than them, so that leaves Iowa - maybe they beat them once? Though that seems tough with Frederick back. Really, Wisconsin hasn’t been very competitive against the better teams in the league.
In all honesty, I think they are still plenty capable of getting hot. I’ll also point out that I made my Big Ten picks before the schedule was announced Wisconsin’s schedule is so much tougher than the other teams at the top of the league (2x UM, 2x Iowa, 2x Illinois, 1x OSU).
If they start hitting treys, still see 3 losses (Meech/Illinois/Purdue).
They haven’t… but they’ve also played most of them on the road. They should play better at home. I don’t love Michigan’s odds in their first game back after 3 weeks off
The CJ Fredrick hype is really reaching a new level.
Hasn’t Wisconsin in the past been the recipients of easier conference schedules?? Maybe it’s just turning the other way now.
I mean, I’d say everyone has ups and downs as far as how hard their schedule ends up. Michigan and MSU being a protected rivalry has led to both of them having tougher slates recently since they’ve both been good.
I have to confess I am letting these salty Illinois fans get to me. They really wanted a free win and now that they don’t get it, Michigan is ducking and cowardly and shook and scared and everything else.
Stay off Twitter/Reddit, my man.
Those 4 wins in their last 18 games against us have got me quite shook.
Well, Illinois is on a two-game win streak against Michigan.
