This game was always going to be borderline watchable but now that it’s looking to be a blowout, I’m probably gonna bow out early.

Watts is also shooting less than 30% from two in conference games and a couple of their other rotation players are even worse.

I believe Jacob Young literally had the ball resting on top of his palm on his hesitation move leading to the 3 point play. I realize they have cut way down on carrying calls, but that was particularly egregious on replay.

Rutgers is up 20 despite Ron Harper Jr putting up a mega stinker so far. 0/2, 3 TO, and a charge through 12 min

This half alone is a microcosm of Rutger’s season. Look great at the start and go up 20, then completely sh*t the bed during the middle and let the lead get cut to 7. They’ll probably remember how to play basketball again soon and win by a comfortable enough margin, but this is almost poetic in a sense.

Brutal close to the half for Rutgers…

Northwestern won the last 14 possessions 18-3.

Rutgers is the weirdest team I’ve ever seen. Total Jekyl and Hyde, not just game to game but minute to minute.

I don’t hate OSU basketball. I’m indifferent to them. However, for MSU basketball, I always root for them to lose because I do not like MSU basketball at all. I’m just happy to see them imploding this season

1-8 seems realistic with the way MSU has been playing. Nebraska is the only likely win but as for the rest, yikes.

Nebraska is probably the only game they’re favored. I assume they’ll pick up 1-3 other wins. But it won’t be close to making the tournament

Lewis Garrison hates Chase Audige!

Northwestern literally throwing it away down the stretch.

In hindsight, Chris Collins probably should have parlayed that NCAA appearance into a new gig. Since making the 2017 NCAA tourney:

15-17 (6-12)
13-19 (4-16)
8-22 (3-17)
6-9 (3-8)

They return everyone next year, including seniors Nance and Koop who were part of a great by Northwestern standards recruiting class. If they fall flat next year you have to think they start thinking about a new direction

With Audacious Audige™ (HT @JJ3), Northwestern’s ceiling has no limit!
