I was not a Rocket Watts fan in HS. Was kind of scared that Izzo liked him since he didn’t seem like an Izzo guy but glad my initial thoughts were right.
Bill Raftery’s advice to MSU: “Make it unattractive.”
MSU players to themselves: “Do we have another level in us?”
MSU still can’t hit an open shot if their life depended on it but they seem to be playing better these past few minutes.
MSU has no two way players except potentially Henry. Think they should just either pick their best offensive or defensive five and build from there.
MSU has no scorers, no shooting and doesn’t play defense. Not a great recipe for winning.
Wish the refs would swallow their whistles. Game isn’t going to be over until 4 at this rate
For the life of me I cannot understand why a strong athletic kid like Rocket insists on floaters in the lane rather than taking it strong to the rim almost every single time.
I’m surprised how poor Marble is. He has been terrible. Let’s the opposition set up wherever they choose with minimal resistance
That’s twice I’ve heard Spero Dedes call Zed Key “Arden” Key
Agree – the lack of scorers is jarring. They actually do a decent job (at least by comparison to everything else they do) of getting decent shots. They just absolutely cannot make them.
Spero making it sound like he’s talking about a wake whenever he talks about MSU this game. Solemn, forlorn, sympathetic voice.
Rafferty not too impressed by OSU. When asked how good they are compared to other top teams in the country, all he could offer was: “they’re rising”
Someone just frantically ran onto the court because they thought a child had broken free from its parents and wandered into the fray. Refs assured the woman it was ok, that it’s Foster Loyer who plays for MSU.
Loyer is like Shawn Bradley compared to Steven Izzo!
He has a look on his face like he can’t believe they’re letting him play with these adults. He’s genuinely enjoying himself despite the score.
He has that blog-commenter body type so coveted in NBA circles.
What would you say is MSU’s best lineup if you wanted to maximize offense? What about defense?
I’ve come to the conclusion Kithier plays so much simply because MSU doesn’t have anyone better.
The number of MSU shots that don’t even draw iron is remarkable
“Does MSU have one last push”. I’ve somehow missed the earlier pushes
Offense: Hoggard, Brown, Henry, Hall, Hauser
Defense I have no idea…Watts, Henry, Bingham + 2 other bad defenders?
