Curbelo from my little bit Iāve seen him is more in the mold of Cassius Winston. I donāt see him as super talented but more so super skilled in some areas. Seems to be a bit of a magician with the ball. I like watching him play but I donāt think see an explosive athlete. I do agree more should have been put on Dosunmuās shoulders
Just like we all predicted, itās a Michigan vs. Iowa race for the title.

Obviously itās gotta play out and they definitely could win it, but their schedule is so much harder than Michigan/Iowaās that Tuesday is sorta must-win for them. And thereās the whole āwent to OT with an Indiana team that almost lost to Nebraskaā thing too

1st contender vs. contender matchup is tuesday, of course. Then we donāt get the 2nd until Iowa-Illinois on 1/29
Interestingly, Torvik still rates Wisconsinās conference schedule as harder than Iowaās and Michiganās, if by a small margin. Torvik has them as the best team in the conference and they donāt play themselves so thatās probably some of the margin but seems like itās still considered similar. Michigan and Iowa only playing Nebraska once is a big factor as well Iād think

There is a lot of basketball left, yāall. Limited crowds and the fact that every team other than Nebraska is competent will lead to plenty of twists along the way IMO.

Illinois only had 5 guys score tonight. basically 3 players taking all the shots. Dosunmu put up 23 shots; Curbelo and Cockburn combined for 22 shots. Not sure if Maryland forced this or is just played out this way. Cockburn was 8-10 from the floor; maybe he should have gotten a few of the looks Curbelo and Dosunmu were taking??
Yeah they legit just stopped feeding Kofi with about 8 min left. I think he only scored by FT the past 10 min of the game. He was dominating before that.
