Illinois is a real good team. When Ayo and Kofi are on their games and the two freshman just keep getting better. I would say they are the favorites to win the Big Ten.
Curbelo is super talented and makes some incredible plays. He looks like he has a really bright future.
He also makes too much of the offense run through him right now. There were 2 or 3 straight possessions where he was controlling the ball without giving a meaningful touch to Ayo, and 2 of them ended in ill-advised Curbelo misses. Next possession Ayo gets the ball and gives Illinois the lead.
Curbelo is good now and will be really good in the future, but Ayo is great now and has taken over at points this half. Should probably run the offense through him down the stretch to avoid this upset.

This is the year Turgeon gets some street cred for his B1G coaching. Past yearâs squandering major talent, this team is better than the sum of itâs parts. Hurts to say this, but tip o the cap if they finish this season strong.
