I tend to agree. I am super Eeyore about MSU hoops. Izzo is a vampire. Year in and year out if you predict failure you end up miserable.

I agree…I was never piling on as much as some. Izzo is going to get them to respectable. Their parts don’t fit right but they have good parts.

In contention for what? They aren’t going to be in contention for the championship I can guarantee that. They will still make the tournament probably.
As an aside, The national media is going to love this game though because they didn’t watch it

Rutgers just runs absolutely no offense. It’s sort of amazing.
I feel like I keep bashing Jacob Young…but…he keeps killing Rutgers.
I’m amazed how many teams look like that though. I think we’ve been pretty spoiled with our teams in recent years

Yep. This seems to happen frequently. MSU underperforms the first few weeks of conference play, benches a few top recruits, starts a few unheralded white guys, and ends up winning the conference. Classic Izzo.
If MSU wins the conference, I’ll eat the shoe I said I would eat if Hunter Dickinson plays less than 20 minutes a game.

I wouldn’t predict they win the conference, but an hour ago they were on track to finish 12th. Now Henry is back in the saddle and their opponent can’t score. It’s frustrating as a lifelong hater
