Big Ten Basketball 2020-21 Discussion (Part 1)

Backcourt violation!

Purdue got screwed

False multiple foul!

Anyone get a view of the ref who blew that call? I see our BFF Larry Scirotto is on the court.

Woof, now Rutgers gets screwed. zero contact whatsoever there.

Going through Jacob Young’s family tree is becoming the new “John Beilein has never been an assistant.”

Scirotto was Trail, his call. But the Center official (opposite) has cross-court coverage there as well. But usually only a late whistle on backcourt violation for the Center/Slot official - that is supposed to come from the Trail official.

The False Multiple was really a Double foul - the elbow by offensive player same time defender hacked. Like when 2 big guys are banging in the post, call a double foul.

Toughest part is it was right in front of Painter. Good thing he was wearing a mask, would’ve been some entertaining lip reading!

I know it’s only been three minutes but I’m really impressed with Northwestern so far in this one, especially on defense.

Frederick has had an unreal start to the season.

I know it’s nothing new but the atrociousness of Garza’s defense is still sort of shocking to watch every time

That D by Garza against Nance   #notmyPOY

Out of curiosity, who is your pick for POY? Or are you just japing?

I had to google japing, but yes that haha

After the crazy a$$ last week or so, I think I’m actually still on board with Iowa winning the conference. Although having Nebraska as a single play is a legitimate handicap. I don’t think they’re the “frontrunner,” but I just think they have as good of a shot as anyone else.

So you don’t think it’s time?

NW is playing like absolute buttcheeks in this game. Every turnover is unforced

Miller Kopp may be my favorite random non-Michigan player in the conference. Dude is a bucket

Interesting that the top 3 kenpom players are Big Ten. Kinda sucks for Jackson-Davis, who I feel is sort of the forgotten man with how good Ayo and Luka are. Although that’s also likely just because Indiana isn’t as relevant this year.
