His arms were angled down when the contact happened. I don’t think that’s as bad of a call as this announcer thinks. Pretty common thing to see IMO.
Totally agree. Some of the other calls were pretty atrocious though.
Yeah don’t take my comment as a reply to yours, I totally agree in general
Weak a-- call fouls out Myles Johnson with 9:00 left.
Rutgers is getting destroyed on the defensive boards.
Rutgers is blowing it!
His arms were ever so slightly down, but that rarely gets called and never gets called as a fifth with ten minutes to go. Why must the refs introduce themselves into these games?
I think the refs should have just let it go, but it was technically a foul. The issue with the refs this game is they go stretches with super strict calls, and then stretches where they let plays go on. I think it just hurts now because Rutgers is missing their starting center that I am not going to even attempt to spell.
Omoruyi!!!
You’re a better man than I hahah
But yes, my coining it weak was that it was his fifth and it was clear that he was doing his absolute best effort to not foul. But the refs showed him no mercy.
I’m fine with the refs doing something like that as long as it’s the team Michigan is playing. Otherwise I’m not a huge fan.
I wouldn’t say blowing it. They are running out of rotation/scholarship players. With Young hurt, Omoruyi and McConnell out and Johnson fouled out they are just running out of dudes.
100% agree with you on that. The refs need to have better game sense in that situation.
Jacob Young is arguably too explosive for his own good
For self-preservation purposes Jacob Young should stop trying to jam it like that over bigs. That fall was nasty!
I don’t think he’s going to be physically able to attempt to for a while. That looked brutal.
All things considered it’s fortunate that he’s grabbing his back/hip. I thought he shattered his shoulder on that fall
I’m thinking that’s a bruised tailbone. Good luck lying down or sitting for the next week.
Why does Bardo keep talking about back spasms when Young had a crazy violent fall that was clearly the cause of this injury? Does that lead to back spasms or something? I’ve never heard of that, but I’m no doctor.
Edit: the internet lists causes of back spasms as “extreme fatigue from overexertion, not using the muscle enough, low magnesium, or low potassium.”
Neither is Bardo…far from it.
