Yeah I was kinda confused at first but listening to Underwood’s discussion with the ref was pretty cool. Also being in both of those huddles felt really immersive.

It’s dangerous to have Pat Chambers mic’ed up. Underwood too for that matter. Chambers drops a lot of f-bombs during games.
I watched an XFL game last week and it feels a lot like that. Fox does do the XFL so maybe that’s where they got the idea to run if for a CBB game. Regardless I’m really enjoying it.

Give me Michigan/Iowa. I think it would be fun as a Michigan fan to be immersed in Juwan’s huddles. And Fran would be great during his inevitable meltdown. Hopefully they have a nice tape delay for that one.

Matt Painter and Juwan. Guys like Izzo, Chambers, Underwood, and Fran yell too much and complain to the refs. I enjoy listening to Painter draw plays up and counter what the opposing coach is doing. Juwan I just enjoy hearing him interact with his team. There was a moment last game where DDJ made a good play passing to Johns cutting on the baseline where he got fouled. Juwan yelled “Dave! Dave!” for him to come over as Johns was going to the line. I thought he was going to give him some feedback or a play or something, but he just looked him in the eye, shook his head, and gave him a high-five. Really cool interaction to see that would be great in a broadcast like this.

Looked like he (Watkins) was still talking a bunch of mess to Ayo while Frazier was missing those technical FTs.
Sorry for the triple post but my goodness is Purdue horrible away from Mackey against teams not named Northwestern (and Indiana…and Michigan missing its best-ish player).
Illinois w/o Ayo reminded me of U-M w/o Livers. Just… revitalized when they’re playing.
