You have to love how “the people’s republic of basketball” operates though. No transparency, random rule making, operating on their own time frame and hiding under every freaking box they can find. Who are these people that have zero accountability?
The perennially stalwart Hawkeye defense—spearheaded by the cheetah-like quickness of Jack Nunge, Luka Garza, Ryan Kriener, and Jordan Bohannon’s right hip—held the vaunted Osprey offense to under 70 points.
Ah yes, noted player transfer rights activist Tom Izzo is so fed up with the horrible unjust transfer rule that he is willing to personally sacrifice his seat with the NABC.
I’m sure Tom has years and years of advocating these beliefs, right?
2016: “if it (transfers not having to sit) happens, Izzo has said, he won’t stick around to see it”
2017: “Michigan has a good team but they lack a big man, and we have a bad team,” Izzo said, speaking hypothetically. "So what are they going to do, at semester come over and get Jaren Jackson and bring him over to there?”
Hauser’s transfer wasn’t originally seeking a waiver but expected to sit out a year, as I understand it. Waivers do seem to be fickle, and Izzo is pissed that he couldn’t get one for Hauser after the family raised it. Understand his frustration, but not why resigning from NABC is a rational response.
