Poyser has great size for a PG at around 6-foot-3 and a super feel for getting into lane and converting at tough angles.

.@jamesfraschilla, who working #adidasnations camp tells me Canadian PG Jaylen Poyser is the real deal.

Poyser making most of opportunityJalen Poyser was an eagerly anticipated prospect prior to Adidas Nation, and he did not disappoint. Through two days, the 6-foot-3 point guard from Canada has been impressive while proving without a shadow of a doubt that he is a high-major-level floor general.
Currently an unranked three-star, Poyser is looking very much like a guy capable of making a run into the next edition of the Rivals150 for the class of 2015. Though it has been a long summer, Poyser says he is finding the energy to give a max effort while in Garden Grove.
“I think it starts with our actual team and playing defense,” said Poyser when asked how he still has energy while many others don’t. “Once we have our defense set, we get momentum and energy and it picks all of us up and it is good for me.”
Though he is on the lean side, Poyser has good size overall and a nice feel for the game. He is adept at penetrating defenses via the dribble, can score in the lane and makes very good decisions.
He is certainly glad for the opportunity to show more people what he can do.
“I think it is a great opportunity for me,” Poyser said. “Being able to be recognized by scouts even knowing there aren’t college coaches here is a good thing pushing forward.”
According to Poyser, he will get more serious about his recruiting and deciding on visits after he finishes up with Nations and the Nike Global Challenge in a few weeks. He has heard from Oklahoma, Michigan, Michigan State, Wake Forest, California, George Mason and Idaho among others and doesn’t have any favorites.

Michigan Wolverines are keeping tabs on 2015 Jalen Poyser, reaching out to those in his camp in hopes of securing a visit HHC has learned.

I know we’re not getting Jackson, but just wanted to post these highlights anyway. Jackson vs. the Family, who has several D1 prospects (Davis, Turner come to mind) and they look helpless vs. Jackson. He is on another stratosphere in terms of skill and atheticism. Most certainly a future pro.
Apparently, Battle wants to play some PG. Don’t think he has the tools to do that at UM at this point.

Despite reports to the contrary, UM not recruiting Noah Dickerson per 247
Yea that must have been a misprint because i didn’t him as a target.
He is going to be a thorn in our side in the future, you can hold me to it

Wow interesting that he will be playing in the big ten. Will see a lot of him moving forward.
Still hard for me to remember that Rutgers is in the Big Ten
What an odd recruitment. I’ve heard chatter that he is expected to choose UNLV. That would be a bizarre place for him to wind up.
Why let Robinson get away when it sure seemed like Coleman had become a long shot. You pass on Robinson and there’s a good chance you end up empty handed.
Duncan Robinson can PLAY
Based on what?
Correction - Coleman didn't have a chance to choose UM, because UM chose for him. That is the truth to the best of our knowledgeI mean, Coleman had MONTHS to choose Michigan and did not. So your comment may be true for that specific window of time, but it’s definitely not true in the context of his full recruitment.
Isn’t that the only time that matters given the issue at hand?

I think if Coleman ends up choosing UNLV (the latest scuttlebutt) … It’ll say something about how his recruitment is going to end up. Not trying to say something dirty is going on, just that his coaches at La Lumiere (who have a relationship with the staff at UNLV) might be a bigger influence in his decision than they originally were.
ND was considered to be leading for as long as if not longer than Michigan, but they opted to go in another direction, taking Rex Pflueger before Coleman’s decision. Just something to consider.
It’s not that the staff chose Robinson over Coleman, they would have taken either. Robinson chose Michigan, Coleman didn’t.
Would you have felt better if we stopped recruiting Jalen if the guy who took his spot was Luke Kennard? Most probably would but by the sound of it, Duncan Robinson can PLAY. Coleman had his chance.
