Feel like the story is less Dallas’ D and more their offense right? Nuggets lost cause they had 4 horrible offensive games against Minnesota. Dallas is pretty consistently getting to their spots and of course a ton of individual brilliance going on
This was before yesterday but it’s not like failing to score in the last 5 minutes changed that for the better

This one was from after last night

Yeah I just mean the TWolves are a defense first team. They will win because their defense is stifling, not because of their scoring
I think the Dallas D is the story bc they have a motley collection of cast offs and guys w bad reputations and they’ve been excellent.
Certainly it’s a Kyrie and Luka story too, but I don’t think it’s surprising those two turned out to be excellent creators/shot makers.
KAT is having an absolutely brutal series shooting. He’s 28% overall and 14% from 3. He also hasn’t blocked a single shot.
That’s what the TNT crew was talking about after the game. Stop shooting threes and get KAT in the post. Put Gobert on the bench more.
But KAT isn’t good in the post… you don’t tell good shooters to stop shooting
The wolves get slaughtered when Gobert sits.
I don’t think there has been a more slandered player in the NBA in the past 5 years
I’m not here for Rudy slander and they’ve been winning Rudy minutes while getting punked when he sits. Just want to point out the last 5 min or so when he came in last night were ugly and they lost them I think by what became the final margin.
Not that there’s much else to like there either. Hard to say there’s a way forward when Conley, Ant and KAT have been so bad. I’d like to see NAW-Ant-McDaniels-KAT-Reid a lot more?
I haven’t looked at stats but feels like the best lineup for the Twolves in this matchup is:
Ant, NAW/Jaden, Slomo, Naz and Rudy. Best mix of offense and defense.
Kyle’s been good defensively on Luka, but floor gets tight when he plays
Their problem is they have 2 2-way players (Ant, Conley)
You’re kind of making a trade off at every other spot
Slo mo still finds ways to score efficiently. He’s been automatic from midrange.
And Conley is getting old. I think he still brings a lot of stability and leadership on offense but he doesn’t have the quicks to keep up with Kyrie for long stretches.
Another good thread

I thought the best shot they had was with Naz on the floor instead of Gobert
Towns to OKC for Giddey/Picks
Our resident Pacer fan can’t be happy with that foul on Brown just being a common foul.
It’s going to be lob city for Lively and Gafford against the Celtics with Horford at Center.
Never seen a team so determined to turn the ball over as soon as the clock gets under 3 minutes
