2023 NBA Playoffs Thread

???

Be my guest, Raptors.

I think that if Brown were to be willing to sign an extension with the Pistons, you trade anything that isn’t currently nailed down. I’d hesitate on Ivey I think, but that’s it.

I also don’t think the Celtics would take any of these things?

Cade can do everything Jaylen can and more. Not saying he’s better atm but his ceiling is greater than Jaylen’s.

I think Cade’s ceiling is “Khris Middleton”

I’d trade Cade maybe being as good as Brown for Brown being as good as Brown (at age 26) 1 million times out of 1 million

Never. I don’t know what Cade you watch but he has a feel for basketball and BBIQ that Jaylen Brown has never shown. JJB can barely handle or pass the pass for a player of his caliber. And Cade has a +7 foot wingspan and has the potential to be a great defender, his only problem is awareness and consistent effort on that end but, like, why try when your team D is absolute dog.

At best the trade would be a wash. A team with Jaylen Brown as its best player is going nowhere.

Well, Middleton is a really good player, so I don’t think it’s an insult.

I’ll just say I don’t think Cade has a ton of juice, just a bunch of skill. I don’t think he’s a #1. I don’t think Brown is either, but I think he’s a #2 right now.

He would be the best shooter on their roster

He might be eligible for that 5 year super max this offseason

He’d need to get All-NBA tonight right?

Yep eligble for super max.

All-NBA teams unveiled: Embiid beats out Jokic for 1st-team spot

Puts the Celts in an interesting position.

Williams and Pritchard qualifying offers. Brogdon makes 22 mil. Brown has 1 year left but will no doubt want the super max.

Absolutely ridiculous that All-NBA is so firm with their positions for something like this. Arguably the best player in the NBA (voters say second best) didn’t even make the 5-player First Team All-NBA Team.

I think they’re changing that for next year

This is why the new cap rule is going to hurt certain teams bc they drafted well. There should be some wiggle room in order for the team to keep them instead of losing them because of the cap rule. Teams are being punished for drafting well.

I get the intent because they don’t want to see teams buy the championship but it’s not really the case for teams like GSW whose core are all homegrown like Steph, Klay, Draymond, Poole, Looney, etc.
