Watch Gonzaga cover now.

Timme and Chet are absolute monsters

Chet is actually a unicorn

Gonzaga vs Memphis is interesting although Mark Few is a master along with those bigs you mentioned. Will be interesting to see how they perform against a team as talented as Memphis.

Obviously have been some good games so far but a lot of complete blowouts as well

Blowouts that you didn’t even tune into: UNC/Marquette, Baylor/Norfolk St, Tennessee/Longwood

Blowouts that became somewhat close at the end: Memphis/Boise State

Close games that turned into blowouts: Gonzaga/Georgia St

Legit good games: Michigan/CSU, Iowa/Richmond, Providence/SD State

So 5 of 8 games were blowouts in some fasion.

Nothing I hate more than the late afternoon gap between afternoon and evening sessions! Looking for the next game to tune into and there’s nothing!

Gusss I’ll just watch the Condensed Michigan game again

The next game starts in 7 minutes haha

Yes, but these seven minutes are the worst of the entire day.

Welp, being perfect in the UMHoops bracket through 8 games is definitely going to be my high point of the tournament

There used to be 1 game in this gap, and it was always hard to get on tv and was irritatingly often a huge upset - before the internet so the only way to follow would be the ESPN crawl. IIRC, Jason Kidd and Cal beat Duke in that slot, and Southern U beat GA Tech (first time I’d seen the Southern band).

Seth Davis is like “Big Ten narrative” and cites Rutgers. Uh, we’re 2-2 in this tournament, someone’s biased

Seth Davis: “You wonder about the Big Ten narrative with Rutgers going down last night.”

I don’t know how good or bad the Big Ten is, but how is the Rutgers 2OT game evidence one way or the other?

Seth Davis is no longer relevant. I don’t care for Rex Chapman either. Candace Parker is fantastic.

ESPN didn’t win the bidding war, but they deserve some credit for pushing CBS to partner with Turner and make sure that all of the games are live, in all markets.

I remember one year where the main game was live on CBS’s main channel, and a second one was on their alternate over-the-air feed (e.g., if CBS was channel 5 or whatever it was, the second game was on channel 5.1).

Oh yeah. When it was just CBS, it was rough. They would take forever to switch games on their live feed and you’d be stuck watching a 16-point UNC game when there’d be two other games in overtime.

He’s not relevant?

Forget Bohanon’s six years, I just discovered Teddy Allen is somehow still playing–now for NMS. Seems like a decade and 4-5 schools. Still throwing up nonsense though.

I remember how awful it was to try to watch these games before Turner was involved. If a Big Ten team was playing, it stayed on CBS no matter what the score was to the very end. If it was another team playing, they would flip back and forth between games throughout the broadcast. How did we ever live like that??

NMSU vs. UCONN is a barn burner at 2 all at the first tv timeout
