Villanova has had a top 40 3 point fg% against for 6 of the past 7 years. I realize that their is such a thin as opponent shooting luck, but maybe they just do a pretty good job coaching close outs.

is this the most gratifying Tournament ever short of us going to the final four? I was rooting for Houston but Illini fans can’t seek solace in the fact that Hiuston was far and aeay the best team in the region, we almost beat this Nova team that just beaht UH. So the enitee big ten ate @ss while giving us lip along the way and we gave, by far, the most respectable perfomrances out of any of these losers.

Yes. Michigan had unequivocally the best tournament performance in the conference. Tied for best finish but lost to the region champ as opposed to a muthafuckkin 15 seed

Yeah I am generally a Villanova well-wisher. My favorite program left in the E8 by far.

I guess, but if the standard is that Michigan or Houston play their A game, but Nova can’t… I don’t know. There’s absolutely some luck to it since they aren’t some total lockdown defensive team, but Michigan isn’t a good defense and somehow managed to hold their offense down, so goes both ways.
They only hit 30% from 3 against Michigan, and all of that definitely wasn’t on Michigan playing good defense.

All I can think of is how the Illini are an absolute embarassment and should shut up for the rest of time. I don’t know what it is with them bu thtey’ve been ragging us i. ways not even Spartans are doing: trashing our academics lol get wrecked.

Their A game seems to be make fewer mistakes than the other team.
Either they’re very lucky or teams have a hard time getting into any kind of offensive flow.
They make their FT’s. They hit 3’s. And they seldom lose the turnover battle.
If their offense started clicking they’d be a super tough out. (Gonna be tougher with one less player though)
Interestingly enough Villanova wasn’t even top 100 in 3p% defense in the three years prior to this season.
