Madness is powerful but if Painter can’t get it done with this team with this draw….that’s hard to inspire optimism

Yeah, I’m a big fan of Painter, but you have to get it done against this team given your height and talent advantage. Would be a pretty significant indictment if they can’t.

I don’t see how you can fire Painter honestly, but will admit that Purdue is my second favorite college basketball team.
These tourney games can get dangerous for the favorite if the unaffiliated fans there for the other game smell blood in the water.

I think that all of these teams who play St. Peter’s are all, “Nah, we got this. It’s St. Peter’s”, and then they go out and force passes, brick threes, fiddle with extra moves in the post only to throw up off-balance poo, and then they’re in a battle with a team that is playing with more house money than a prince and playing looser than . . . well, playing really loose.
Short story - Purdue is looking somewhat troubled.

I have absolutely nothing against Painter/Purdue and even like him for being a good dude in a business without a ton of them, but I will absolutely be ok with an L for them here to vindicate my years of calling him overrated on here lol.
That said, I’d be shocked if they actually end up losing.

As long as St. Peter’s has been keeping Edey/Williams under control they’ve plugged up Purdue’s offense (Sounds like another team I know.) because St. Peter’s defense is IN YOUR FACE. Williams has just scored a few; it will be interesting how St. Peter’s responds and if Purdue goes back to the well or if it opens up other avenues for the Boilers.
