UM sitting alone at a table in the high school lunchroom waiting, waiting, everyone else’s friends showing up as other tables fill up, UM still all alone, waiting, waiting … Purdue wanders in - “Thank GOD you’re here.”

The Pistons need a 2nd star to go with Cade. I’m fine with Paolo, JSJ and Ivey for the Pistons if they get top 3 pick. Unsure on Chet bc of his weight.

Been thinking and taking it all in since yesterday, still stunned. What an awesome game and such special legacy stuff from Eli and Hunter. Now watching all the other Big Ten teams drop off one by one today it’s got me feeling pretty damn appreciative and reflective.

I fell in love with the game of basketball through watching Michigan at the end of the Amaker era. I grew up in East Lansing and I remember year after year after year being so jealous and frustrated that this program right down the street from me got to experience so much success seemingly year after year in the tournament that it felt like my friends took it for granted. When Amaker’s final team went 22-13 and didn’t make the tourney I was crushed.

Then they hired Beilein and things were clearly starting to form…I skipped school the day they finally got their first NCAA tournament win to watch at home with my mom, who barely understood basketball but could see how much I loved it that she really really started taking a liking to Michigan games after a few years  but even after a few years of good, “oh my gosh maybe we have something here” teams, when the Novak/Douglass senior year team lost in round one to Ohio, I remember thinking “this will never happen”

From then on everything was so special (obviously). But I genuinely think the last 5 seasons of Sweet 16s or better is the most impressive thing the program has done, and I think you’d be hard pressed to find anything that impressive from any program in that period, let alone one that experienced a coaching change. This program is a stable, winning, championship level program and I feel lucky as heck to be emotionally attached to it.

Omg Ben Mauthrin

It doesn’t matter anyway. I’m a Pacers fan. I know how the story ends.

Let’s get Horny!

Didn’t they just show that Jones was in his 6th or 7th year because of the chemo? He’s only a “junior”?

Shoulda been an And 1 too

Kid’s an absolute warrior. If he wants to play another year, I hope Texas gives him the opportunity.

I missed it on the broadcast but I did know he got that extra medical redshirt. Just feels like I’ve been watching this team play together for a million years and they can’t possibly all still be eligible

There is another

16 year old me would never believe we’ve been to 7 second weekends in 10 years. Heck I can barely believe it and it happened right in front of me

If TCU can somehow pull this out I’d say that literally every game went the way I hope today

I hate that too quick jump ball whistle

16 year old me would never believe Michigan would have missed the tournament for 10 years. Never take this for granted – it can all disappear overnight.

High school me would’ve been happy to make the NCAA tournament.

When I’m elected, the first Thursday and Friday of March Madness will be a holiday. Monday will be an optional, floating holiday. This is the entire platform I’m running on.

My big board right now is in some order:
Paolo, Chet, Ivey, Jabari, Keegan, Ben Math.

Need a 7th because the Pistons have a 7% of falling that far, but not sure who to add. (Probably Duren.)
