Are you tired of Illinois being a poverty program?

I’d have more sympathy if they didn’t luck through to this round with a 1 point win over a 13 seed

I don’t feel bad for them. A majority of the time you gotta beat some good teams to advance. Oh well, sucks for them I guess.

Can’t imagine being an Illinois bball fan. Has to be miserable

I mean, we played a 3 seed that should have been a 2. Couldn’t be us.

I was actually thinking about this. I think three straight failures to get to the sweet 16 as a moderately high seed is when you should start to get dissed and four is when it becomes a verified internet trash talk fact. When you have super talent like upperclassmen Ayo or Cockburn the timeline can be accelerated by a year.

To get three years out of kofi and ayo and no second weekends, man that has to hurt

OTOH they were a top 5 team themselves last year. And they had the roster to be a top 10 this year, they just underperformed. At some point you’ve just got to get it done.

That’s amazing what Houston is doing losing two of their four top scorers. Can you imagine if they were fully healthy?

Repping Nova with the Season 3 BNS homefield shirt, I don’t care if it’s an easier match up. I cannot pull for OSU under any circumstances ever.

They also could have very easily lost to a 13 seed.

Oh I don’t feel bad for them whatsoever. It’s hilarious. But as far as pinning it on Underwood as a bad coach or something I don’t think it works for that reason

We’re literally carrying this pathetic conference lmaoooo

Tell me more, I’m having fun this afternoon :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

And now for the main event

I will say this it’s always fun being the last representative of the conference though I do like Purdue and Matt Painter so would like to see them move on

Making the Sweet Sixteen (again) while Illinois fails to (again) has turned this from a disappointing season into an incredible one.

Nebraska saved the season for Illinois. They don’t win at Wisconsin this year, then that would be a big failure for Illinois. They still co-owned a Big Ten regular season title so they got a banner. That’s a success. Bittersweet getting bounced in first round of Big Ten tournament then not making the second weekend.

I legitimately completely forgot that Houston made the Final Four last year. Like honestly if you asked to name the 4th final four team last year I probably would have made 40 guesses before I guessed Houston. Have no idea why I forgot that lol.
