Agree w people saying Celtics were logical pre-series favorites based on play since Jan 1. I think the Warriors 2018 halo is a thing, but I think even more important is that most basketball commentary still assumes the West is vastly better than the East. In fact I think the Top 4 in the East would probably all finish on top 6 or 7 of the West. Maybe only the Top 3. Hard to tell w Elbiid injured, but Philly was pretty good at times this year.

My hope was that Curry’s off ball movement would make the Celtics defense less able to muck up the Warriors’ offense. I didn’t get to see game one so I’m not sure what happened in the final quarter, but hopefully GS figures it out.
I think the big thing is that unless Poole plays they have a single ball-handler, and Poole was getting spit-roasted defensively….a pick your poison moment.

The announcer calling Izzo not just a great coach and leader but a terrific man made my ears bleed as I flashed back to him grabbing and ripping the arm of his own player while screaming in his face.

Hard to over-state how bad Draymond and Poole have been getting their rears kicked the past two games.
EDIT: Klay too - this three guard lineup can’t guard anyone.
If the Celtics are going to win this, I want it to be because Draymond was terrible.
Seems like that will be a contributing factor, no doubt. He’s been so bad, and I’m pro Draymond usually
