Did he get a deal to get drafted or did he tell the Princeton guard he was staying. Not sure the latter matches the rumors.
A deal to get drafted based on what?
Rivals says he was āshut outā
Which seemsā¦false?
(They have no idea what theyre doing)
Josh has jumped the gun on this multiple times.
Electing to not go to the combine when you get an invite gives me vibes that heās almost certainly staying in the draft. in some way he feels this is best for his draft stock
Honestly this makes me more uneasy than if he was going to the combine. I was counting on those poor testing numbers to push him toward coming back. This has the feel of staying in the draft for me. Workout for teams in an empty gym and shoot lights out. Get someone to like you without seeing poor athletic numbers. Feels like a strategic decision.
I would think no workouts and it is a done deal in the second round.
Are we allowed to apply the āsā word that describes Frankie for not wanting to compete to Houstan here? @DeAngeloVickers
Can we now start recruiting the portal. We are gonna need two guys now.
What kind of precedence is there for a mid second round type guy to not participate at all?
Why are we assum in g itās not a late 1st promise
Yeah that aspect of it is strange. Feels like something only the high draft picks do.
Yeah, not participating screams to me that he got a promise. Unless Jaelin Llewelyn committing dramatically changed his calculus or whatever
Late second round promises are a thing now?
Could have gotten a late first promise ala JP? or early second
I truly cannot fathom why Caleb Houstan got a promise anywhere in the draft. Heās a shoot only guy who didnāt shoot it elite-ly. If Iām running an NBA team iād at least want to see him put the ball in a basket in a gym before I promise anything.
Poole showed way way way way more upside than Houstan in college
Just so hard to even believe a team would do that.
I would assume itās top 45 if he was willing to sit out for itā¦
