You ain’t beating that Baylor D with iso unless you’ve got three pros. And I’m not seeing three pros on the floor for Arkansas
It literally looks like he’s full body throwing up. But if it goes in, that’s all that matters.
That pass by Moody
Oh man goaltending into a double dribble the refs did not call
Raftery not realizing Musselman gave up.
No fouling Hogs? How’s about extending the game?
Why? Did you take the over?
I mean, 3 possession game and your season in the balance. Make them hit FTs
Baylor-Houston could be fun.
Beautiful. Won both spreads.
Your team pretty much can’t shoot. What were the odds of them making three threes and Baylor missing six free throws?
Go USC. +9 seems pretty friendly.
The 1950 NCAA Tourney in which Baylor last made the Final 4 consisted of … 8 teams. Baylor came in 4th (there was a 3rd place game back then).
(Josh Langford’s freshman year).
Don’t really understand how Baylor’s defense is barely top 30 in KP
It was top 5 before their shutdown iirc.
Eh, their four factors don’t look that great. If Arkansas could shoot, they’d have won this game easily today. Baylor’s all about pressure — their strongest defensive numbers are Steal% and Turnover%. I like Michigan’s chances against them on this side of the ball, if it were to come to that.
You know, that’s got to be a part of it! Thanks for helping me understand all the crosswinds up there in my head.
Yeah, in 1950, the NIT was the more prestigious tournament. The NCAA was truly regional — they picked one team from each of eight regions.
Baylor didn’t make the NIT that year, which should tell you how well regarded they actually were. (Both tournaments were CCNY over Bradley in the finals, for another taste of how much things have changed in 70 years).
ETA: That was one of the years of the CCNY point-shaving scandal
Houston is very long and atheltic but I actually see it playing pretty similar to this last game.
I like Baylor by 10-12.
Baylor has some men on that team.
