For all of you guys thinking he embellished… who dives and then gets up trying to fight?
Regardless F1, F2, whatever didn’t really matter because he was fouled out. It was just a cheap play, that’s all I’m saying.

It definitely did. One hand pushed the back, one hand grabbed the arm.
I would have been fine with an ejection. Suggs was half a second from going up for the layup/dunk. If the timing is half a second later, Suggs is taking a massively hard fall that could severely hurt him. Since the timing wasn’t half a second later I’m cool with an F1, but F2 to set the precedent would have made sense to me too.
Timme with a beard and Timme with a mustache are completely different people. With a beard, he’s a friendly bartender. With the mustache, he’s Ben Stiller / a Bond villain.
I am not on Team Embellish but this happens all the time
We are so far from the bad boys era. Basketball is soft. I kidd.
I do it very Wednesday night in my rec league
Yeah definitely cheap. I don’t think it was an intentional push, but it’s definitely a “rule of engagement” in basketball that you don’t do any sort of grabbing or tough contact from behind on a break. Would definitely be a fight in a pickup game.
I absolutely didn’t think he was trying to hurt Suggs, either. In fac, I’m pretty close to 100% sure he wasn’t trying to hurt him. BUT his right hand pulled Suggs’ right bicep while his left hand was on his back. Push or no push, it was a dangerous and completely unnecessary play.
Yes, it does happen all the time. It was a stupid foul but he didn’t push him. He put his hand on his back. Kinesiology tells me it wasn’t a hard enough placement of his hand on the back to cause that kind of reaction. Concentrate on his left hand as Suggs goes flying, the hand doesn’t follow through. If it was a significant push, his hand would have followed through. So there! Cased closed.
I’m on team embellish, so figured I’d better step in with our side’s response… I saw one replay in slow motion out of the corner of my eye while I was working. And from the camera angle (taken from the baseline) it looked like Suggs threw his head back and rolled his body away from the foul. From the twitter video I can see his ankle got stepped on, which caused the awkwardness of the fall. Team embellish pulls our criticism of Suggs, and will reserve judgement on all other flops moving forward
I’m not giving up that easily! I suspect Suggs might not have liked the foul at all considering the game was over and it caused him to fall, push or no push.
Sorry, your rebuttal is too late.
I’m fighting the good fight too. I think Suggs tripped over himself. His body seems to be going away from “the push.”
Second picture is actually occurring before the first
Dude is sprinting full speed, puts his hand on Suggs’ back, and nearly comes to a complete stop. Where do you guys think that energy went?
Team Embellish will endorse your motion…with a silent vote in an undisclosed location of course
I’d feel much more comfortable if beilein was coaching this game, however I still think this growing LSU upset narrative is a bit overblown and they won’t want it as bad as we do, all the hustle plays and loose balls should be ours based on the effort LSU seems to give on a nightly basis
Looks like he twisted him more than pushed him (and it caused Suggs to fall hard and reasonably pissed him off).
Forward, and to the right.
Forward, and to the right.
Forward, and to the right.
Fight, fight, fight.
