Maybe it’s because the Pac-12 is better at math? I mean, you’d think elite universities would be able to count to fourteen, and yet…
They are going to award 2 championships this year: The actual champion (i.e., whatever PAC12 team beats the other PAC12 teams to win the tourney) and best non-PAC12 team (whichever team other than a PAC12 team survives the longest).
The only good news that I can see is that LSU isn’t close to the western part of the country. That’s a huge break. But it’s still bad because Baton Rouge is considerably west of Ann Arbor.
I think everyone else’s third eye isn’t working because the true, enlightened path has appeared to me.
-
Michigan wins today.
-
Michigan beats Colorado in the Sweet Sixteen.
-
Michigan beats UCLA in the Elite Eight.
-
Michigan beats USC/Oregon in the Final Four (you can even throw Gonzaga in there if you’d like).
-
Michigan beats Oregon St. in the Title Game.
Forever proving that Michigan is the Champion of the West.
Baton Rouge is actually only about 150 miles further from the Pacific Ocean than Boulder, Colorado is.
Gonzaga is probably a .500 team in this version of the Pac-12, so it’s fair to give Michigan the Mickey Mouse title label if this is their path and they draw Gonzaga instead of USC or Oregon
Returning to (somewhat) serious mode: Anyone think OU could give the Zags a game here? First team with major conference talent they’ve seen for awhile.
I have Gonzaga losing to Oklahoma on my bracket so that can’t possibly be true. I’ve been right on looks at bracket almost nothing so far.
I see Oklahoma is playing the patented Iowa defense.
If Oklahoma scores every possession they could win
When Fran McCaffery was at Siena in 2007-8, he lead his 13 seed team to defeat 4 seed Vanderbilt in the first round before losing to Villanova in the second round. The next year he lead his 9 seed Siena to a win over 8 seed Ohio State.
Those are 2 of his 3 best wins in the NCAA tournament of his career. At Iowa he has reached the tournament 5 times, once losing in a play in game. His other 4 wins (all first round) were over teams seeded #7, #10, #10, and #15.
Don’t mind Iowa but happy to see he’s had little success in the tournament. Such a douche.
Timme might be the greasiest looking guy I’ve seen but is still somehow a walking bucket
Oklahoma #35 looks like he just finished building his moonshine still in 1970s Kentucky.
The announcer just gave us a South Park “Timmay” call and I’ve never expected something less in my life
Couldn’t believe it.
I can’t believe that NCAA refs call that flop in the post so much.
These offensive fouls have convinced me Hunter is fouling out in 5 minutes tonight
oh, come on. It just takes a while for the impact to make it all the way through Reaves’s body and for him to start to fall.
Speaking of Reaves, we can’t leave out Gregg Marshall on the dirt bag coaches list from earlier. Different kind of dirt bag.
