So it’s the opposite of what folks have been saying. It’s not the PAC-12 that sucks, it’s the teams that dare to play them that suck.

I expect Maryland to keep it close all the way like Rutgers did and choke at the end. \
The B1G teams have lacked a cutting edge in this tourney. If that’s down to coaching quality, talent or fatigue, I have no idea.
Even Kenneth, Earl of Pomeroy, is not immune to complaints to the league office.

Hey at least Rutgers ALMOST won. That’s more that can be said for the other RO32 Big Ten flame outs.
Ultimately this doesnt matter if Michigan wins, but this is a huge embarrassment to the conference.

This is what I thought was going to happen to the B1G. When we started playing new competition we were going to play better since we had such a gauntlet during conference play.
Iowa is obviously not good enough defensively to come back from large deficits in limited time.
I’ll tell ya where that book needs to be inserted.
Luckily Michigan had a 3 week break, and is battle tested from our non-con slate where we…beat Oakland in OT.

I still think Michigan will win tonight, but to be honest, the rest of the Big Ten flaming out has altered my expectations. Would have been super disappointed to lose in the 2nd round before the tournament started, but if we lose tonight of course we did not meet our expectations but I’ll feel better about being grouped in with the rest of the conference as failures rather than standing out as unique in our failure and wondering what would have happened if Livers didnt get hurt.

Now pinning my hopes to “some B1G teams tend to perform better out of conference than in conference, and Michigan is typically one of those teams.”

Fran is their best coach they’ve had and all they have is a 2nd round flameout to show for it
They’re up by 18 points vs the #2 ranked offense. They’re doing alright on D.
