2020 Transfer Market

Well they’re a very good program. Have had better recent teams than a few on that list. Can sell him on the tourney and a big role I guess. But probably an uphill battle for them.

Gonzaga is seemingly in on every top transfer every year

Tons of interesting fits on that list. Memphis, TTU, UNCG, Minnesota, etc.

Man I thought Gonzaga had enough centers on that roster.

I think he would only consider them if Petrusev bounces.

Minnesota, UNCG and Boston College all have former staff members at Sunrise Christian, which is where Haarms went to school. Not sure about the others but I know those 3 do.

Yeah but even with Timme and Ballo and I think others on the roster I’m surprised they’re that interested in Haarms.

Tariq Owens was a heck of a rim protector for them, and they didn’t have one this past season. Joel Ntambwe, who transferred from UNLV, might fill that role well enough. The weakness of Haarms would be his relative lack of mobility and quickness, but I agree his length would be something in that defense.

Abel Porter, grad transfer G from Utah St., just committed to OSU. He has one year of eligibility. His best year was 2018-2019 where he averaged 5.5/2.8/2.3 PPG/APG/RPG on 42%/40.5%/71% FG/3P/FT in 21 minutes. Last year he averaged 5.6/3.2/2.4 but on 38%/29.7%/76% in 26 minutes.

Seems like a pretty uninspiring get. He had a 98 ORTG last year on sub 15% USG in the MWC. The year before was a 106 ORTG on 15.1% USG. I’d imagine he’ll be a better version of Andrew Dakich for them but hopefully not playing 19 MPG (hopefully for them at least). And like Dakich, Porter was initially a walk-in at USU.

This also puts them at 13 scholarships assuming Wesson is gone, so if he comes back someone else needs to leave. Makes it seem like he’s gone for sure.

Porter was one of two former walk-ons in the starting five for a would’ve-been Tournament team.

He’s more than a little better than Dakich.

No credible intel but I’m guessing it’s ASU where he chooses. He’s announcing the day after Christopher.

Anything contribute to your hunch or do you just think its the best fit?

So when we play in Eugene next year we’ll be facing a PG group that we could have very realistically seen in EL instead.

Gonna be 3 kids from Michigan on Oregon’s roster and they should all be main players. Jalen Terry, Amauri Hardy and Eric Williams.

Come to think of it does Oregon have more kids from the state of Michigan than Michigan??

Livers
Johns
Davis
Faulds
Baird
Wade
Ozuna-Harrison

Counting the walk-ons, sure. 3-3 with rotation players. Guarantee that’ll be a notable topic when they play

You can sort of count Bajema as a Michigan kid as well. Isn’t his family originally from Grand Rapids?

I believe they are from Grand Haven, but yeah, west Michigan.

“I have a level of respect for the Oregon program," Hardy told ESPN.

So do I, but mine is below sea level.
