I worked a lot of Vanderbilt games last year. Shittu regressed as the year went along (and ultimately the team quit on the coaching staff), so his stats should be asterisked, IMO. He was really good early in the year, especially the first few games running with Garland at the PG. Shittu still looked like a dominant player in the making for about a month after Garland’s injury…and then checked out on the season early in the SEC slate.
I think next year’s offense could have a similar feel to 2014 with the 2 through 4 having usage between 21 to 24% and the PG at 18%.

She’s correct. I don’t have any clue what any of that tweet meant, but by posting it in the first place, does that mean she wants me to understand or if I don’t understand it right away that I could understand, or does it mean this whole relationship between me and the understanding that I’m courting just isn’t meant to be?
I think she was saying, Listen, we’re gonna do what we’re gonna do in OUR time, when we want to do it. Your time schedule is frankly not our concern. If you don’t understand, perhaps you weren’t meant to understand. Get over it. Oh, and by the way, just ‘cause he didn’t sign does NOT mean he isn’t going to Michigan. That’s all you’re gettin’.
She might also be saying, This decision is so much more important to my son and I than it is to any of you, and we don’t answer to any of you.
I also think, and this is just me, that both Isaiah’s mom and Isaiah trust Juwan. Juwan is “like an uncle” to Isaiah, and Isaiah can talk to Juwan like he would talk to a trusted uncle. I think we should trust Juwan on this, too. If it’s best for Isaiah to come to Michigan, then he will, and Juwan will help him to understand that, like an uncle would. If it’s best for Isaiah, and by extension, his mom, to go overseas, then he will, and Juwan will also help him through that process, too. That is to me the power of Juwan, his true goodness, his caring for and understanding of these kids and what these decisions ultimately will mean to them. Juwan cares, and that’s evident and it makes him more than a coach but like trusted uncle. Just my thoughts.
As always, silver, I do appreciate your thoughts. You are more thoughtful than my facetiousness deserves. When information that isn’t information is tweeted to all of those whose opinions they purportedly don’t give a rip about, it seems like a contradiction or a backward method to inspire MORE opinions to subsequently announce they don’t care about. I’ve always supported that he and his family do what’s best for him. That said, wake me when he signs.
I think if she’s surprised that people asked for clarifications about her son who is committed to a school but saying he might not go there, then maybe she’s the one who is confused about how this works.
Common sense overload, hack. My brain just exploded.
Asking for clarifications, LOL, that’s not what fans do on Twitter. They jump to conclusions.
Doesn’t look to me like the tweet she replied to jumped to any conclusions.

Matt D’s assessment from talking to people mirrors Todd’s comments. Todd wants Michigan. Mom is leaning to pushing him overseas or is maybe split.
Posted this on the wrong thread at first but Zeb Jackson and Isaiah Todd are playing at 7:00 and 8:30 Eastern respectively on the stream below. Check it out if you’d like.
Maybe its over?
You leave out a key word he uses: “may.” That may be how it is but you state it with much more certainty than he does.
Regardless of what he or mom prefer, it comes down to whether he/they can say no to the $$ that will be offered, including a shoe contract. At the very least someone is going to be listening to offers so until they say “no,” it’s hard to feel too confident.
Watched Todd in game action for the first time. Todd is obviously a great athlete but he is extremely raw. I was surprised to see how unrefined his skills are for such a highly ranked prospect, to be honest.
I’m not trying to intentionally knock on him further but this is quite the norm for Todd. He’s very much a highlight generator but not much else at this point. It’s why I’m trying to tell a couple of my buddies to lower their expectations on Todd’s first year. Some expect him to come in and make a massive positive difference but he’s gotta figure a lot of stuff out first. If/When he does, it’ll be scary.
Yeah, he’s definitely talented but pretty raw. High school basketball is really hard to watch too. Todd could use some strong coaching and development for sure. He definitely didn’t impose his will in this game but you saw the raw tools he has to work with.
I don’t know what the depth of talent is playing in the Australian league but I would fear he could get even alive by grown men if he chose that route vs. college. I think he could get lost in the shuffle over there while missing out on the year of development he really needs.
Agreed. Obviously an amazing prospect but I’m slightly concerned. Not sure he will have an impact like we think and I’m worried about shot selection somewhat. Hopefully they can coach him up.
I definitely am glad Todd is coming to Michigan. He is a fantastic recruit! His ceiling is as high as you can have. However, based upon what I saw in the game action I would not be even a little surprised if he struggled to be a modest contributor his Freshman year. My comment had more to do with me adjusting my own expectations about what I should reasonably expect he will immediately be able to contribute to our team.
