“Zay Todd it’s time buddy.”

He is legit Juwan’s height. Scary talent.

Todd’s official stat line from yesterday was: 8-18 shooting, 2-6 from long distance, 3-4 from FT for 21 points, 11 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 blocks, and 6 turnovers in 30 minutes.

Looks like he scored 20 of his 21 in the second half.

These quotes don’t exactly instill confidence in me that he will be at Michigan next season playing.

Not at all eeekkkkk

Yep those quotes just killed pretty much any confidence I had

I would say he’s as good as gone…

Y’all are a bunch of nervous Nancy’s. For every hedge there are two very positive things he says about Michigan. Maybe he doesn’t come to school but he committed and we should take some of this at face value.

Also, he is still recruiting for Michigan… so there’s that too

we’re doing our best to stick with it, all you can ask, its overseas or UM, no use stressing

You guys are crazy :joy: yeah that wasn’t great but come on now… he’s far from gone

Him saying it would have to be his mom that talked him into going overseas seems very unlikely given the stuff I’ve heard from her. She isn’t going to want her boy halfway around the world on his own.

Yeah people need to remember that ultimately his mom is gonna probably have the biggest say, and from what we know, his mom seems to love UM and Juwan. Unless his mom wants him overseas then we’re good

One thing I’ll be interested in is just how bad the New Zealand league wants him. Obviously he’s a high level prospect but not on the level of Hampton or ball. Kyree walker supposedly wanted to do that but he was not a high enough level prospect to generate serious interest from that league.

The Todd stuff is just incredibly confusing. I can get why he wouldn’t sign (no real incentive to and Juwan is very much an unknown quantity), but he seems to be very actively repping and recruiting for Michigan while at the same time giving creedence to going overseas as a possibility. Why would he admit to to still considering going overseas and then at the same time say it would take his mom to convince him to do it? Idk, it’s just very very strange. Incredibly mixed signals.

Thanks - interesting tidbit to add to the mix here.

I personally didn’t read too much more into what that brief interview contained than what I already surmised: he’s probably 50-50 to 60-40 U-M-bound. He didn’t commit yet it keeps his only other option now–playing overseas–in place. U-M is where he wants to be if he wants to stay stateside. Yes, it’s dog-eat-dog in recruiting for the universities themselves, and an early commit would show just that–true commitment to his verbal–but it only narrows what is a very crucial time in his life to make the best decision for his future. I can’t blame the kid for holding off. If Isiah needs more time to be 100% all-in for U-M, I’d rather he do that than commit, wear the uni, and regret it two months into the semester. Juwan will get dudes regardless; I get that sense more and more each day.
