You are correct. He has been asked.
Iām a bit concerned, hopefully it works out. Iām already getting anxiety dipping into the five star recruiting world. Hopefully Howard keeps a nice balance.
A class of Todd, Dickerson, and zeb would be real nice though.
Hopefully Juwan is still recruiting 4ās in addition to 2s, 3s, and 5ās. Roster needs help everywhere especially if Livers leaves after this year
I donāt see livers leaving
If he has the year we all hope he has, I donāt see him staying, elite 3 point shooting wings that play good Defense have pretty big roles on NBA teams
If this is who he is now, seems to me that he just needs to show the ability to guard the perimeter in the NBA.
He canāt create off the bounce. He hasnāt shown ability to guard good wing players
Sam Webb said this morning that Todd may still sign early, but if he does not then that is some cause for concern as the NLI does not hinder him from going over seas and so the only reason to wait on signing is if you are still considering other schools.
Cruttin manā¦
He doesnāt need to create off the bounce with his shooting.
Ok whatever you have to tell yourself. Heās played pretty good D since heās been here and heās a boarder line elite shooter. With his likely progression this year (heās lost weight, is quicker) and him being the go to scorer Iād expect him to showcase his talent enough to make the jump. Heās doesnāt need to be able to create off the bounce fro be an NBA player. I wouldnāt be surprised if Duncan Robinson looking good doesnāt help Livers in the eyes of the NBA as well (same school, similar height and shooting in college, but better defender more athletic etc. )
TBF: pretty good D at the 4 for the most part. Charles was guarding the best wing the previous 2 years.
I was thinking that Duncan is a good comparison. He may not be quite as good a shooter as Duncan, but theyāre going to be in the same statistical neighborhood, and it seems likely that all the athleticism metrics will favor him as well once he goes through the combine process when compared with Duncan.
I am curious how the NBA will view Isaiah. If he can shoot 40%+ the whole year on this larger volume youād have to think heād get a chance in the 2nd round. But what i want to know is how theyād view his defensive projection.
Livers will be an interesting test case for the NBA this year. I hope he stays, but would not be shocked if he goes.
Duncan was also not drafted
He wouldāve been if NBA scouts knew heād be having success in the league. Robinson would be an example of a player whoās having success as an elite shooter (similar to Livers) but is a lesser athlete. Iām not sure what you have against Livers game, but heāll be an Iggy level prospect as a Junior at least by the end of the year unless he stops playing at the level he has been.
If Livers plays at this same rate, heās a draftable prospect. Atleast in the second round. It wouldnāt surprise me if some team took him late first, but he would 100% get drafted by the mid-second round range. Three and D wings are weirdly hard to come by. Usually players only have one of the two. Livers isnāt Charles on D, but heās still pretty damn good and is likely a positive defender in the NBA.
Heās a better prospect than Iggy in my mind since I feel like Liversā game is very easily projectable as a long-time NBA wing. Either as the 5th guy in the starting lineup or consistent bench player. From what I saw from Iggy as a freshman, I would not have been comfortable that his game could project to the NBA at all.
Livers has attempted 23 shots this year. Still need to see how he plays over maybe 5? 8? Games? Before we get too serious into this convo.
I donāt have anything against him. I just donāt see him as draftable this year
