Hey my buddy is doing something for Xavier Simpson. Kind of a bow on his career type thing. What are some of Simspon’s best career moments that come to your guy’s minds? Year, when it happened, the opponent, etc.
Mean mug against Purdue. https://gfycat.com/yawningadventurousafricanmolesnake-2018-big-ten-tournament-zavier-simpson
Not positive the year or game, but I wanna say it was in the BTT against MSU his sophomore year. Could be completely wrong and hopefully somebody can correct me and find the clip.
He scored a layup and then walked back down the court holding his arm up in the motion he had used. The story was that he did that in practice and Beilein told him he’d never score like that in a game, so after he did Simpson was basically shit talking Beilein by holding his arm up.
That was against Iowa two days before the MSU game I believe.
Pretty hype for these guys to hit campus
As a young person that does not get TikTok at all, this is very funny
This is like the intro to a 70s sitcom.
OK, that was good!
a very small part of me was hoping Josh Christopher would appear at the end, joining the family, and announcing his commitment
Is the first kid a walk on? Or just someone that put the TikTok together?
It’s the full house theme song
Ah, missed that. No wonder.
It’s Family Matters with Steve Urkel, for those that don’t know.
Full house, not Family Matters
Family matters is “days go byyy”.
Full house is “everywhere you look”
I know it’s a crowded front court next year, but I really hope BJ doesn’t leave. I think Juwan needs to run lots of three “4” lineups with some combination of Franz, Livers, Todd and Johns. The versatility of that lineup gets me excited.
I have no idea if it would actually result in on-court success of any kind, but the idea of a Christopher, Wagner, Livers, Todd, Johns switch-everything lineup is absolutely tantalizing. Cant imagine there’s many teams in the country that would have the personnel to match up with that defensively without putting someone way too small or way too slow somewhere.
The issue with that lineup being a matchup nightmare is that it lacks quickness IMO. We saw some of that against Wisconsin.
Agree with this but that’s because we slid everyone up a position so to speak putting us defensively in bad matchups. I’d rather see us play small at the 5 and have say Wagner, livers and Johns at the 3, 4 and 5 that us play ‘big’. That said everyone of those guys will be a year older, faster, stronger, smarter when it comes to playing defense so maybe we can utilize some of that size better.
Also if Livers is healthy, hopefully he is able to move his feet a little better. Can’t imagine hip, groin and ankle problems help your lateral movement defensively.
