Honest question: Could Jalen Wilson take a second OV to Michigan with the context of a coaching change? I am not holding out hope but just curious to what the rules might be
I believe the rule is only one official visit per school.
In football I believe they changed the rule so that you can take another official if there’s a new hc, not sure about basketball.
Good question. I don’t know the answer, but there is probably someone researching this right now as we “speak.” Even if he can’t take an official, he could certainly take an unofficial. I don’t know his family’s financial situation, but an unofficial is certainly allowed.
If Yaklich is retained, I still have hope for a recommit from Wilson. Luke was the lead recruiter on him, and he’s named after a member of the Fab Five. Beilein’s record of developing pros was also a big reason he chose Michigan, though.
I know the recruiting watchers are thinking RJ Hampton will be Kansas-bound, and Jalen may very well follow his friend there. Bill Self gets the five-star recruits, but I don’t think he’s good at developing talent (or getting any of his teams ever to defend the three point line).

Another related question, could Juwan have an in-home visit with Wilson? CFB limits those too. If Wilson is still interested, Juwan and staff visiting him sounds like the best way to show it.

I believe he could, but again, I don’t know for sure. When my son had signed his NLI with the University of Mississippi (a minor sport, perhaps different rules for basketball) the coach left (fired) after he signed and the university flew the new coach up to Michigan to meet us. He spent the weekend at our home! Maybe that’s where Harbaugh got the idea for the overnighter!

He could do a home visit unless the staff has already seen him 7 times since the school year started. Who knows if they did that or not.
Wilson already knows the campus, the facilities, and the academic side, so another on-campus visit wouldn’t be necessary. An in-home visit by the new staff would be much more important, if permissible, to give him a chance to connect with the new head coach and team philosophies

Can someone refresh my memory on what Beilein inherited in terms of recruits/decommits? I think Legion and Harris both decommitted, and he got Manny back in the boat, while Legion went elsewhere (in act I of his college career)?
