2019 Transfer Market

Assuming he is headed towards Oregon, then his neck is too long which makes him play shorter than his listed height of 6-3. Never wanted him and not a good fit.

If he does show up on the radar for Michigan, then I agree he’s a great fit and would eat up a lot of backcourt minutes.

EDIT: Just in case any friends or family members of Anthony Mathis happen to read this message, I want to make it 100% clear that this was just a dorky joke. Any university will be lucky to have him. My cousin is an Oregon native and diehard Ducks fan, so I’ll be rooting for him wherever he decides to finish his college basketball career!

Oops, sorry, just got back from the gym and didn’t scroll up far enough to see you had already posted this! He would be a great fit. An absolutely prolific three point shooter!

Hopefully following in the footsteps of his brother is equally as important to the Wagner family as it appears to be for the Cumberland and Pritchard/Mathis families.

He may as well commit to Oregon and not waste any coaches time and money.

Oregon is the likely destination but I am glad they are reaching out and beating the bushes. We have a starting spot and minutes to sell.

Do you believe if we don’t land Wilson or Franz we will store the 3 remaining scholarships for the 2020 class and play the 2019-2020 season with 10 scholarship players?

I would think so? Do we have any other offers outstanding or are we seriously targeting anyone besides Franz/Wilson?

If there isn’t any “qualified” options remaining, I would rather save it than be on the hook for 4 years to a player who can’t crack the rotation.

Michigan went after Cormac Ryan hard the first time around. Not sure if the new staff would be interested.

He would seem to be a nice shooter to add to the roster…even as a “sit 1” transfer. And would break up the number of scholarships Howard & Staff need to fill for ‘20-21

Agreed. He might be a nice option to consider. Having 6 or 7 scholarships in the 2020 class could create balance issues which this might help alleviate. Obviously the best thing would be to get Wilson and/r or Franz in the 2019 class but those seem like uphill battles at the moment.

How involved was Saddi in the previous recruitment?

He’d be a nice piece to have. He’ll improve I think and a year sitting would do him well too in developing his shot and overall game.

Chicago guy, do we have a solid shot at this kid?

Can’t shoot, but for a one year guy I guess he would be better than nothing.

beggars cant be choosy at this point

High major athlete with great size/length but not an efficient player. Not sure if Michigan will take a look but with so many roster spots open, why not if he’s a fit.

Immediately available 6’7 shooting guard from Chicago HAS to get interest from this staff…
