So strange that Nunez got an offer over Gabe Brown.
It was based on timing. When Brown committed to MSU, Michigan was recruiting other guys. Nunez was a late offer. If Brown was still uncommitted I’m sure Beilein would have offered him first.
I’m sure in hindsight if JB knew he had room and guys like Locke weren’t going to come, he may have offered earlier

I have no love for Duke but I just see them as like the Cowboys, Lakers, Yankees - the overhyped “brand name” teams. I don’t like them but don’t have a particular reason. Sparty OTOH, I have to interact with those guys all the time and it’s not too awesome when they’re winning.

Sooo many coaches do this same thing. Until refs reign it in it’ll get worse and worse.

Coach K can go off just as much as Izzo, if he gets frustrated enough. To Izzo’s credit, I saw two fouls called against MSU where they had arms straight up and the shooter jumped into them, then I saw Ward get hammered on the arm (Duke player’s arm was about 30 degrees slanted) and they let it go. That defensive play started the Duke 9-0 run to take the lead before MSU had their last run.
Because he’s 6’8”!

I get it that Winston is not the quickest point guard and doesn’t have great athleticism but damn he can be unstoppable. I just don’t get why he wouldn’t be one of the top 5 pg’s in the mock draft. He can dribble drive and dish, shoot 3’s, run transition efficiently. Why is he not in the top 60 (mock draft)?

This I agree with. I’m not sure why he, at the very least, can’t get as much consideration as, say, Jalen Brunson.

Zion is getting into defender’s space with his shoulder and getting the foul call. At this pace he’ll foul out Ward and Tillman.
Ward playing over Tillman is killing MSU. That third foul was big.
