Refs making their prescence felt early
Gonzaga switching every ball screen against Florida State.
Purdue and Tenn raining 3’s. Purdue, surprisingly, getting a lot of oreb’s.
If anyone needs some good vibes before tipoff, Big Ten Network is airing the 2013 Kansas game
Soooo Efficient Carsen Edwards kind of changes things for Purdue…
Purdue has been undervalued by most all year long. They are the third best Big Ten team, but they are good.
I think they’re playing their best basketball of the year right now. This doesn’t look like the same PU that got swept by Minny.
Tennessee has just looked so ungodly bad though, too. 4-13 from the line? Woof.
Officials for Michigan-Texas Tech: James Breeding, Michael Irving and Larry Scirotto.
Carsen Edwards hasn’t had a three game stretch of consecutive games above 30% from the floor since December. I thought it was a guarantee he would shoot them out of a big game early in the tournament. He was en fuego against Nova and damn good in the first half tonight
This may mean nothing as it relates to the Michigan game, but the Gonzaga and Purdue games were called extremely tight in the first half. Both fraught with foul trouble.
Purdue is the 16th best offensive rebounding team in the nation, and Tennessee is 255th at defensive, so that should be an area of opportunity.
Remember that this unstoppable Purdue juggernaut was blown out by Michigan!
I’m taking from all this that the B10 is again criminally under-rated. Not that I want good things for MSU, but it’s objectively nonsense that three ACC teams got 1 seeds while the B10 regular and tournament champion did not.
Feel like the Zags don’t run much O. Just basic spread pick and rolls and attacking the mismatch.
Feels like FSU has played bad and only down 6. Don’t know if that says more about FSU or Gonzaga.
Ill take the winner of Michigan/Texas Tech over the winner of Florida State/Gonzaga
