Btw, I noticed this while watching a bit of the Texas / Texas Tech game yesterday and am noticing it today too. Switching screens is a part of Tech’s normal defense. Not a great sign for us.
Just seems like Tech can’t do much without Culver’s scoring or playmaking. If Matthews can limit him or slow him down, you have to like Michigan’s chances. That is the key matchup and seems like the only way Tech can win unless they light it up on tough contested shots.
Both of Tech’s guards are solid but not great. X will put Mooney in a box.

Culver is good and man you can’t have wing with a better body but his handle looks pretty rough. TT in general seems to have poor ball handlers.

Yeah I just don’t see how they break down Michigan’s defense. Culver is a beast but Matthews is defensively as well.
If Buffalo could rebound they’d have a 1-2 possession lead.

I think this is an overrated mantra. Switching screens works against us when the 5 is agile enough to stay with X on penetration after the switch. Tillman did that very effectively. Whether the TT guy could do the same (assuming they get there) is not as clear to me, at least not yet.
