How did we not force more turnovers against them? They seem to only take care of the ball against us…

Part of it may be due to our transition defense. I don’t have the numbers but I would guess they have a higher turnover rate in transition. Against us they pretty much abandon their transition offense and just play a slowed down half court game.

If that’s the case then it might be better for them to abandon transition offense, right? It’s not like their half court offense is bad.

Carsen Edwards is carrying Purdue.

For the expert minds, is their a preference on who to root for tomorrow between Buffalo/Texas Tech? I assume Buffalo but I wonder what Texas Tech can do offensively if Matthews slows him down.

No, they are lethally effecient in transition even if it may result in a few more turnovers.

Kudos to the Minnesota faithful. They showed up and are LOUD on TV.

MSU having their lull before the 15-0 run in 3 minutes.

Cassius hits 2 tough pull up midrange and then a 3 to ice the Minnesota run

Let’s face it. The Big East conference was one dumpster fire this year.

Purdue opening up a huge can of whoop a$$ on Villanova. Purdue up by 30. Villanova wants nothing to do with the B1G.

Never thought I’d root for Auburn even in tiddlywinks, but here we are. . .

So really, how is Winston not an NBA prospect? He’s not the best defender but with his shooting/finishing ability and floor vision, you’d think he could make a team.

Carsen really put it to Villanova tonight. I thought for a minute that I was still in my heyday and that I was watching the Spice channel.

Am unclear on this myself. Feels like he’s in that Wagner/Matthews category of nothing left to prove in college so might as well declare and start making money in the NBA or elsewhere. But it seems to me – could be wrong – but players tend to stick around EL for another year in so many cases where you’d think maybe they wouldn’t.

I agree. Look up Mugsy Bogues and Spud Webb. They had decent NBA careers at 14 yrs and 13 years respectively and were shorter than Winston. Not saying they are similar at all, just saying some players can be pleasantly surprising when given a chance.

A big part of it was Ward, who hardly played against us tho.

If Auburn saves some of that magic they are going to be a very tough out.

I’m thinking that UNC would be a bad matchup for them, with their athleticism (the opposite of Kansas) and size. But, maybe UNC’s preference for a fast paced game would play right into Auburn’s hands.
