Does that help or hurt our chances?

Based on all the info I have, it would hurt UM while boding well for Illinois

Brown 50/50 on reclassifying to 2015, says UM has shown interest. Hopefully he visits and is offered. Really athletic player that attacks the basket with authority, ability to be a really good defender as well. Poor man’s version of Russel Westbrook

Josh Langford, had 30/12/5 tonight for Madison Academy in win against Bob Jones

Langford is gonna be a stud wherever he ends up.

Hopefully he can be the recruit that bucks the trend and actually commits to Michigan after positive early visits.

Where do the Duke/Kansas/Kentucky trio stand with their 2016 wing recruiting? Hopefully none of them decide to make Langford a priority.

Bruce Brown claims UM offer, will probably reclassify to 15. Seems to be staying on the East Coast. If interested, I would definitely take Brown in the 15 class. No brainer

New film on Brown below from the HoopsHall Classic over the weekend

Dylan - any legs to the UM offer?

Final: Garfield Heights 54, Balboa 51 DeAndre Ayton: 19p, 18r, 4a, 2b Willie Jackson: 15p, 12r Frankie Hughes: 14p, 4s

Garfield Heights Guard Frankie Hughes is a straight SNIPER. 4 threes for him in the first half.

This kid is an absolute beast. Either one of Langford or Brown and the team becomes better instantly.

Madison Academy Jr. G Josh Langford 35 8 and 5 tonight. NC State head coach Mark Godfried in the building

He hasn’t visited AFAIK, so no offer.

Brown reminds me of the stereotypical east-coast guard (a good thing).

Strong. Aggressive. Not afraid of contact. Will score in any way - dribble drive, post up, fast break, open jumper, pull-up J, etc.

There are questions about Brown’s shooting - it seems justified based on the highlights that are notably missing jumpshots. On the other hand, you simply can’t teach that type of athleticism and agressiveness. Reminds me a lot of Russ Westbrook in terms of style

30 pts for Jamal Murray. Some of the tough shots he makes, just ridiculous, 83-71.

Been hearing about major interest in Pickerington ( Caris old HS ) Central 2016 wing Ibi Watson.
A 6’4" wing averaging 19 pts. a game for one of Ohio’s top HS programs. Just starting to garner high major interest, looks like a breakout JR. could we grab lightning in a bottle again? Boy is Ohio loaded with players in the 16 class.

Very preliminary opinion on Watson after viewing film below:

Above average/good verticality, shot release is very low, decent catch and shoot player, handle is extremely soft, lacks ability to change direction and create his own shot or for others, not enough film to critique lateral movement

From what I’ve seen, I’d rather have Hughes - better shooter, just as good athletically, better handle

He’s been at camp the last couple of years (IIRC)… Definitely a good way to play your way onto Michigan’s radar.

Still very, very much in it for Battle, Langford and Winston.
Thorton not so much.
We better snag a couple of these kids, so sick of settling. 2 years of it.

Madison's Josh Langford scored a game high 27 points in the loss to Norcross. #HiltonInv

Thought we might get involved with Bridges, originally from Flint. Maybe not.http://zagsblog.com/articles/six-schools-working-hardest-for

New film on Langford below. Hopefully we’re able to get him to UM…Meyer crystal balled him to UM a few weeks back. Other than Brown, this kid is the best combination of talent, athleticism, and size on our board. Would be a huge pickup.
