How exactly has that bridge burned? From what I’ve heard Michigan has continued to recruit Langford even after Battle’s commitment. Now they’ll just go harder after him IMO.

I think this is a difference in sources of insider info. One side says the door was left open for contact down the line, the other says more along the lines of what Go is saying, which I don’t necessarily agree with.

Don’t think Cumberland or Battle in this class has an impact on whether we’d want to take Langford. Langford could be the primary ball handler in our offense. I’d take Cumberland/Battle and Langford over Cumberland/Battle and Winston/other PG

Honestly, it was more encouraging to me than anything else. He’s not flashy, but he scores. I also had not been following his film much, but seeing as now he’s a much more likely candidate to commit, I’ll start paying attention. Also note that in the start of the video we have some Austin Davis footage (#51 I believe).

Beyond what I believe to be relative accuracy of recruiting information, I think the tone with which it is presented matters as well. On that count CB really rubs me the wrong way.
Balas might be behind the times, but he’d have to be pretty dumb to say that and be willing to be wrong.
Cumberland has a funky looking shot, but he looks to have a nose for the rim. Good build as well.
Cumberland has an interesting game but you wonder how it will translate to the next level. He’s basically a power guard who’s good at bullying his way to the hoop and drawing fouls. He doesn’t have much lift or explosion and plays pretty upright. He looks like has a nice touch but has bascially a set shot for a jumper. Maybe he’s one of those rugged guys who just knows how to score. He showed some nice passing ability as well.
