Battle is on a Syracuse visit? Don't think there is a chance of a flip do we?
If he visits, i bet beilein drops him
Beilein would drop his most highly touted recruit?
Beilein had no issue dropping Bluiett for canceling a visit. Beilein has not put up with flaky recruits during his tenure. He simply moves on.
You don’t think there’s a difference between a guy making a verbal commitment vs Bluiett who never made any commitment?
I do think there is a difference. I think committing then visiting another school is worse than what bluiett did. I am pretty sure beilein and most college bball coaches would agree.
Beilein dropped Blueitt for scheduling a visit, having Michigan move everything around so he could be the only recruit there that weekend, and then telling Michigan that he was going to UCLA instead and he’d visit on ND weekend when we already had Chatman and Grantham scheduled. I have no idea what Beilein will do, but the situations are not even remotely similar.
Bluiett did something that put UM in a bad situation and Battle is doing the same by visiting Syracuse. Would be shocked if Beilein put up with this based on his recruiting history.
The two situations are hardly comparable. I can say with 99.9% certainty that Beilein would never drop a recruit, let alone the best he’s gotten so far, simply for taking another visit.

I wouldn’t be so confident, this is not football recruiting. It is not considered acceptable in college bball recruiting to commit and visit other schools. Beilein has had no issue dropping highly regarded recruits in the past.
Is there a certain courtesy at play within recruiting? What I mean is some guys are higher up on the team’s board than others. I would think that Beilein and the staff would only want a commitment if it is meant to stick otherwise they are stuck in a bind while the recruit is free to do what he wants.
YES, and I still cannot for the life of me figure out why! “gowolverines8”, you say “Beilein has had no issue dropping highly regarded recruits in the past.” Would you care to serenade me with ONE example of a recruit who has committed to us, taken another visit, and then has been blocked by Beilein simply for taking a visit? If not, you have no argument.
What if Tyus just wanted a free vacation to scenic upstate New York?
Sam confirmed this morning on WTKA (first question on recruiting roundup) that the visit is happening, and tacitly implied there are those in his circle that want him to do his due diligence about the Michigan decision. He also said he did not think this was symptomatic of Battle “wavering” on his decision.
Langord please. He's a better prospect anyways. Let's just hope he doesn't drop to Sparty.
I think Tyus would be great in Beilein’s system, but I also think that Langford is the single recruit in the 2016 class with an outstanding offer that can be the biggest difference maker.
Is it too late for Langford? Seems like you didn’t hear much about Michigan and Langford for the past couple months, probably coincided with Battle but didn’t hear much before then either.
Sam had said that they would keep recruiting langford until the end. Im sure if battle is gone they are telling him that the spot is there. And as far as msu goes with langford, people were saying florida and michigan were his top 2 and those didnt happen so hes probably looking at other schools. Would be awsome to get him
With Donovan gone from Florida I’d be surprised to see them still up on his list. I actually think Michigan has an OK shot when I look back at Langford’s quotes after his unofficial visits.

The “hindsight” comments I’m seeing now regarding Langford make me feel that we were in much better shape with him than I think anyone outside realized at the time.
