His nickname should be Camera Sanders, kid is always looking for the camera. Tell you what, strap a camera on all his teammates and he would never miss a pass because he will find the camera. Lol…
Man Corey Sanders is putting on a show in the Ball is Life All American game on CBS…athletically the kids is just on another level…I will follow him at Rutgers for entertainment value.
Watching Corey Sanders single handedly win this game on both ends of the court really makes me wonder why the staff didn't seriously pursue.......what could've been
Why didn’t a lot of programs pursue him more? How does he end up at…Rutgers!!!

Honestly have no idea. He was easily one of the top 3-4 players in yesterday’s game. Routinely embarrassed higher ranked kids all game long. Was the most dynamic player on the court. I love his game
I’m not a huge fan of Aiken based on the film. Doesn’t seem like a pure PG, more of a 2 guard stuck in a PG body. Assist rate in EYBL isn’t all that impressive, but his FT rate is superb for a kid that size.
He didn’t put up huge assist numbers when I watched, but he didn’t look like a kid gunning for his own offense either. His team only had 6 or 7 guys and they managed to gut out a win.
I didn’t expect to like Aiken as much as I did. Is he the next Chris Paul? No, but I think he fits the mold for the type of PG that can be successful at UM, good handle, smart, reasonably athletic for his size, good passer and shooter.

I look forward to seeing more on this kid.
Would have to see more film, but while I don’t think his handle his bad, don’t necessarily think its on the Cassius Winston/good/great level either. Don’t think he’s all that athletic either. Can definitely shoot the rock though.
He actually reminds me a little of Burke in some ways...I'm not as ultra-critical as you though.
Wow, I’m pretty surprised at that comparsion. Don’t think Aiken has anywhere near the handle Trey had in HS. Shooting…I can see that. Also thought Trey was a much better passer in HS.
His pacing and movements show a bit of similarity… Wouldn’t put him in that category quite yet otherwise. I worry about sub-6 foot guards though, so would be nice to see him grow a few inches.
I am very familiar with Aiken, having coached against him this past HS season 3 times. My teams pg out played him every game. Stats do not always tell the story but his numbers vs our pg were as follows:
The 3rd game was Aiken’s final of the season. losing in the county semi’s. I have trouble seeing him playing at the Big Ten level. 5’10" is generous and I dislike his on court demeanor, especially when his team is losing. He struggles vs strong ball pressure and will settle for bad shots out of frustration.

Would be surprised if he continues to grow. He’s on older HS jr at age 18 already. Will be 19 when he graduates HS.
Michigan expanding their pg search. This is pretty much what I expected they would do now that it is pretty clear we will once again strike out on our top targets.
There’s really only Winston and Goodin on the radar right now at PG… So it makes sense to expand the search regardless and why they were watching guys like Aiken, Walker at EYBL.
Probably has been discussed here somewhere, but I would be curious to know Matt’s opinion on Walker. From a few clips, his handles, defence, and passing look fairly solid. Seems like a pass-first guy, some nice footwork (step-back and Eurostep) not sure how he rates as a shooter. A little concerned about the lack of dunks, but I am a dunk addict.
BTW, the three players I mentioned above are top-60 uncommitted PGs. It would be nice if “casting a wide net” meant going after more guys in that range (the way OSU, Indiana, and Maryland do) rather than just mining deeper territory. Entirely possible to do both.
Wanted to watch more film on Walker before giving my opinion (embedded below)
The first person that came to mind when watching is Isaiah Thomas (Boston Celtics - just for you Hail!). For his size, I haven’t seen many players finish that well at the rim. The kid goes up strong, has extraordinary body control, finishes through contact, has floaters, flip shots, etc…he’s just a great finisher at that size. He seems to have a good handle (wouldn’t call it great in the DTJ/Corey Sanders mold) but in the above above average/good range. The film reflects Walker has the ability to hit jumpshots off the bounce, going either direction, and catch and shoot scenarios…shooting off the bounce is a huge plus in my book. Where I differ from Windsor is I think he’s a shoot first type of player rather than pass first…not very many clips of Walker passing in a halfcourt set, nor is there much evidence that he is adequate in PnR creating for teammates. It seems Walker is inclined to get his own off the bounce rather setting up teammates…and it appears he is proficient at doing so. Passing in transition is very different than passing against a set defense (Derrick Walton is the prime example/Kevin Huerter as well).
Overall - I like Walker as a prospect, great finisher at that size, good handle, and can hit jumpers off the bounce. Not a great athlete, but average in that regard. I wouldn’t mind the staff offering if its clear that Winston and Goodin aren’t coming. I like Walker more than Aiken.
