Briscoe is now committed to the University of Kentucky.
Does Dozier’s commitment to SC (where he could foreseeably play some point) help us at all with regard to Dennis Smith Jr’s interest in Duke? His crystal ball reads 60% Duke, 20% SC.
Never had a shot

In some related news, the Briscoe commitment to UK seems to already be having some ripple effects in Derryck Thornton’s recruitment. A few people have changed their pick from UK to Duke. Certainly seems like a Duke and Michigan recruiting battle may be in the works. Especially with Battle being friends with DT and having a similar alleged top group including Michigan and Duke. In any case, seems good that we may not have to worry about Cal in this one as much as before. Keeping fingers crossed.
Once Dennis Smith eventually verbals to Duke, DTJR will be giving us an even longer look.

I have no problem if the way we get DT is by Dennis Smith committing to Duke.

Don’t know, but they are definitely crazy.
New film on Quentin Goodin. Don’t think he has significant interest in UM, but he looks much improved in terms of ballhandling and passing. Reminds me of a more athletic Darius Morris, big guard with great court vision.
Five schools are recruiting four-star Quentin Goodin the hardest: Florida, Marquette, Michigan, Minnesota, and Tennessee. @Goodin_3

New film on Thornton. His portion starts at roughly the 1:00 mark
Listen, we all know what happened when we had the best guard in the country. I am a diehard Michigan fan and a two time basketball division 2 champion. You can't win without good guard play, given, and you can't be one dimensional. Sorry to say, Mr Beilein will not recruit blue chip bigs in order to compensate for defense that pressures the wings. You can't win at the biggest stage without having a plan "B" to go to. If you do, it is purely LUCK. I love great guards, but it is sad to only have them and small forwards because you are one dimensional as a team. Either you are perfect without turnovers, because good teams take advantage of them, or your loosing because the other team shuts you down outside and you cannot go down low to free up the outside. We need to focus on some BIGS!!!!! Weber's, Tarply's, Vaught's, Mill's, Hughs's, cmon UofM, get with it!
They all went to Kentucky.
I think Teske is a very good start. He can impact the game without scoring.

I am much more worried about the guards and wings in the future than the bigs.
Doyle, Donnal, Wilson, and Teske will be a great core moving forward.
Wing depth doesn’t really exist and even starting wings may be an issue if things don’t figure themselves out

A question I thought of for MattD. Would you rather get:
A) Josh Langford and the same chance at DT as we have now or
B) Tyus Battle with an increased chance at DT because of Tyus?
This is obviously subjective to our own independent opinions on chances for DT, and chances of a Tyus/DT “package” which is always hard to gauge in recruiting. I think I’m inclined towards option A, but that’s because I think we’re still in a top group for DT in position to make a move before he commits.
Rather go with option A…I think Langford is an absolute stud. Reminds me of a better shooting Lance Stephenson. You can use him in so many ways, as a shooting guard coming off screens, as a primary ballhandler off PnR, hell, you could even use him as 4 because he’s so strong. Other than Jaylen Brown, Langford is the best non PG prospect on our board…he has the total package and ability to make his teammates better. There is a significant gap between Langford and Battle in my opinion.
