Nice to see a new emphasis on offensive rebounding. I know his system historically downplayed it in favor of getting back on D, but if the shots aren’t falling, you need to grab some second-chance points.
I didn’t really read the quote that way… More that the number to worry about was Xavier’s offensive rebounding number. Saying that kind of implies that you don’t much care about crashing for offensive rebounds because you aren’t worried about the number of defensive rebounds they get (although that number is obviously swayed based on how many shots you missed).
Really what he’s trying to get at is offensive/defensive rebounding percentages over rebounding margin I think.
