I have just started this, but doggone it, I just love how Dusty talks about basketball. Serious answers to the questions asked, with some coach speak, but far more honest, open answers than I’d come to expect from the Howard/Harbaugh eras.

love the way he answered this and how he thinks about other basketball decisions

I didn’t like hearing how he needed to find Tschetter more time. He gave them 12 minutes and did very little.

Did you want him to say he should have given him less time? This doesn’t happen in public under any circumstances other than possibly a guy not playing hard or playing in a low basketball IQ manner, neither of which remotely applies to Will Tschetter.

There isnt just one answer though and you don’t need to ridicule him either. He didn’t play well and under that situation that didn’t seem like a great idea to give him more PT. I know I’m in the minority but that game still annoys me. Totally winnable but they didn’t.

The game annoys me. The answer on Tschetter did not because there wasn’t anything he could say without creating issues.

This whole presser is really great. Def reinforced the points made on the pod esp. @eric_shap talking about getting the ball to the second side.

Appreciate his exact position talking about the floor being wet. I was…not so reasonable about it in the moment.

Also thought it was interesting that they seem to have a plan for both missing the FTs that they didn’t quite execute and they had a plan to do something else rather than just take the fouls down 3 that didn’t come off either.

appreciate the composition of the camera shot - the rule of thirds is alive and well!
