Wasn’t Williams a captain last year or am I getting this wrong?
He was a captain last year, yes. Feels like year-over-year continuity in captaincy shouldn’t exactly be the goal based on how last year went

Poor TWill. The guy has to feel like he gets no respect. Social media has been dumping all over him. Transfers come in to play his spot. Gets fired from being captain.
Here’s hoping that he has a good year and can go out on a high note.

Yeah, fair enough, it’s just not common.
Phil just mentioned in his interview, this was the first year under Juwan they’ve done captains voted by the players.
