The better team won tonight, for sure, as much as it hurts me to say it. I’ve been watching jones all year, and he has been doing this same stuff almost every game late in games when they needed it. They played their perfect game, even without a good Oklafor performance.
But still, Wisconsin played its role, it beat UK and MattD’s perfect athletic team. So I’m happy you got the win tonight, but I hope in the future, you will value a little more what teams like Wisconsin are able to accomplish with player development, and see the beauty that is college basketball if everything is not aimed towards one and dones and NBA.
He should complain about the two blown OOB calls if he's going to complain about officiating (but he shouldn't do that).
He sure wasnt complaining when the refs jobbed UK last night and gave Wisconsin credit for a basket that Hayes made after the shot clock clearly expired, or when Harrison clearly went vertical with absolutely no contact but was whistled for a foul. They gave Wisconsin 4 points in a tie game with under 5 mins left. Bo Ryan should never complain about officiating, ever.
I mostly agree with you but the officiating was bad in that game both ways. It’s too bad so much gets decided that way. To be clear, tonight’s outcome was not.

Or when UK punched wisconsin in the face and the flagrant 1 wasn’t called upon review. Oh, sorry, not even the foul was called either.

Im a bigger NBA fan than college. NBA basketball far exceeds college in terms of quality and talent…not even close. Until the one and done rules change, college basketball will continue to be a joke. Player development is just not something Im a fan of in general. Im a fan of seeing the most talented players and teams win because they generally play a higher level of basketball that I prefer to view from a purely aesthetic standpoint.
Dylan deleted my post, which whatever. But in any event, talent wins out yet again. The poster child for development, the great Frank Kaminsky, was helpless down the stretch vs Okafor and that is reality. I loved every minute of those true freshman absolutely lighting Bo Ryan up. I can’t stand that damn team.
I think Wisconsin ran out of gas after that monster win on Saturday. It’s too bad for Wisconsin’s sake that Dekker disappeared tonight after the run he had. Fun game though. Here’s to Michigan breaking the B1G’s dry spell next year.
That’s really the reason I love basketball, it’s the only ‘team’ sport that really allows the great individual players to showcase their abilities in a way that is damn near more important than the team as a whole, but aiding the team to victory at the same time.

Justice Winslow will do that to you. I’ve maintained that Dekker is overrated. Winslow is a legit NBA 3 in terms of defense, and that is what Dekker will face every night.
I think Dekker regressed to the mean. He played out of his mind the last 3 games but there’s a reason he shot 32% from three this year. He’s a very inconsistent shooter. Great game though. Kaminsky played great. Tyus Jones was unreal down the stretch. Grayson Allen looks like a future star once he gets to play more next year.

Fair enough, though he had some good looks.
Nobody’s arguing that having 4 five star freshmen is a bad thing. It’s just whether it’s possible to recruit it that is the issue for Michigan.
