Podcast: Previewing Michigan-Indiana with Alex Bozich

With the reporting today that Woodson is stepping down after the season a little concerned about them going after Dusty. I still feel the Michigan NIL is not great and admissions is still a factor in keeping transfers out.

Nah, Juwan just kept trying to jam kids in that even the public knew were non-starters. Dusty didn’t seem to have trouble navigating whom he could get in.

They have a good high school class, and a team full of transfers. Do you think they are here for free?

Dusty May’s buyout is $5 million

Iu job is just leverage dusty needs to get any nil he wants, its not like um lacks resources, its the complete opposite

that’s not prohibitive but I’m not concerned at all. If this has been in 3 years maybe but 0 chance dusty leaves after 1 year after picking this job over UL and osu

Transfer thing gets way overstated, plenty of kids um can still get in and some coaches honestly enjoy and value coaching at high academic places.

I think it’s close to prohibitive!

Regardless, I’d be capital S Shocked

Yeah I feel like the transfer thing is like 80/20 Juwan ignorance/admissions

It very obviously doesn’t prohibit us from getting good players

I’ll always argue that the good that comes with ums academic rep(its a major draw for recruits) far outweighs the bad which is basically no 3rd year+ transfers that haven’t graduated.

I agree, but it is ridiculous a player can get into Illinois, but not Michigan

I think TTU also blocked him from taking classes so he could get into Michigan… idk lol drama from the past

OMG, know we have to worry the rest of the season that IU might steal Dusty. That would be a huge punch in the gut. Don’t think it will happen, but if Dusty does not say publicly that he is not interested after this weekend, that would bring concern.
