Aside from providing the words composing the acronym, there is no definition of PAKE and PASE on that page. How does he calculate them?
Both things can be true.
They demonstrated that they could go months without playing a good team and then beat good teams by reaching the elite eight.
Can we do a UMhoops community bracket challenge? Would be fun to pick Iowa two rounds further than everyone else does

I would love it as well. Does anyone know whether any of the typical websites would even collect and pay out bracket fees (like I know Yahoo does for fantasy football)? Could resolve the issue that we don’t all know each other personally so someone doesn’t run off with all of our fees.

True story: I attended Venmo’s tech meetup presentation in NYC in the early 2000’s. Back then their shtick was that you could take money from your friends on the basis of trust. The audience laughed at the notion.

I think his early years aside from first two years has weighted his rankings down which didn’t help the perception that Zags choke in the NCAA tourney when the opposite is true in reality. Gonzaga is a great team with NBA prospects. I expect them to make the Final Four.
Plus did you know that Gonzaga is the only school to reach Sweet 16 in the past 5 NCAA tournament. It speaks to their staying power as an elite team.
IMO, I rather have Michigan’s upper bracket draw as opposed to Illini’s draw. Potential matchup against Loyola and Oklahoma State? That’s tough and I am 99% sure the committee did it for the media storyline. Loyola vs. Illinois for the state of Illinois storyline. Oklahoma State vs Illini for the Brad Underwood vs his former team storyline.
Oklahoma State could beat Illini because of Cade Cunningham. Cade is such a good player that he’s a mismatch due to his size, shooting and ability to get to his spot whatever he wants to.

The media has really blown this livers injury narrative out of proportion. Originally hurt dec 31 and has been playing through it off and on. Media made it sound like he lost his leg or something. If I’m a senior mere games away from F4 you make it happen
The most frustrating part of Selection Sunday for me is the fact that they don’t announce game times with the brackets. It’d seem like it’d be a pretty easy thing to do.

I think TV wants to wait until they see the matchup to determine TV time slot.
For us, I bet it’ll be an early game like somewhere between noon to 1pm since no one gives a shit about 1 vs 16 game due to it a mere formality of #1 seed(sans UVA losing to UMBC) advancing into the next round.

Right, I’m saying it’d be pretty easy to have TV executives involved before releasing the brackets. Not a lot is going to change on selection Sunday.
